"I'm not offering to participate, if that's what you mean," Essek said. "But…" What exactly was he offering? Just to be in the room? To watch? That felt too much like voyeurism, which wasn't what he'd meant to offer. "I'd just like to be with you. Hold you, maybe. While you... take care of things."
From the hitch in Caleb's breath and the widening of his eyes, Essek knew he'd hit on a good idea. "You… you would be comfortable with that?"

Essek's libido was an annoyingly unreliable thing. Caleb, on the other hand, was pretty much always open to sex. Making that disparity work was not a simple matter.

Essek and Caleb nonsexual/sexual intimacy. One of the best ace boundary building/exploration fics I have read. Thoughtful and beautifully built. Explores the frustration that can happen between partners of different levels of libido and learning to connect and still expirience intimacy within that difference.
