They knew he was their mentor at most. so imagine their surprise when he suddenly mentions a daughter.

He coughed into his arm and felt a sticky liquid leave his mouth. He looked at it, and for a moment, staring was all that he could do. The stuff that came out of his mouth looked like black ink.
Well…that was unfortunate.
It was just another ordinary Saturday at NRC, until four students get very sick, very suddenly, all at about the same time. Crazy coincidence, or something more? Unfortunately for these students, their lives have too much of a proven track record of being out to get them for this to be anything other than the latter.
At least, this time, there may be someone around to catch them if they fall.

My comment on Chapter 25:
"Oh my god that whole story was such an adrenaline rush. Every plot point had me reeling and the twst boys did so many crazy feats. I love how fleshed out the story and the scenarios were. The worldbuilding was impeccable and the unique ideas and inspiration for this story were well incorporated! I love how you explore the soft magic system further while exploring their UMs and various facts. The timeline is a bit confusing? Like I know what’s going on, there’s just a lot going on! I think story movement-wise, this was peak though! And now it’s time for the epilogue and fluff :)TL;DR: This was the best and most unique TWST fanfic I’ve ever read!!! Plot was great, setting was great, characterization was great!
