“I’m sorry, but my answer is no. Someone else might be willing to switch if you ask.”
“I can’t believe—this is unacceptable! I’m going to call the flight attendant over and get this sorted out right now!”
Flustered and cornered, Shane injects his Captain Voice into the conversation. “Ma’am, I understand that you’re upset, but I paid for this seat and am going to stay here. You’ll have to find someone else willing to change places or just fly with the seat you booked. I’m sorry I couldn’t help you.”
She hisses like a goddamn tea kettle, and starts to say, “You are the most selfish man I’ve ever—” when another voice behind her says, “You are blocking my seat. Move.”
Shane and the woman turn to assess the new arrival. It turns out that his seat partner is well above six feet tall, ripped as hell, and knows how to deliver an excellent bitch face. He’s also the hottest man that Shane has ever seen in real life, including a chance run-in with Jensen Ackles at a Stars game.
Or, still!famous Shane meets non!famous Ilya on a cursed flight from Ottawa to Boston and kind of (totally) falls in love with him at first sight (and first chirp)

A snort filled the air, and Eddie looked half amused and half serious. “I dunno, maybe? Something like that. I mean, look, it’s a new year, right? Anything could happen. But neither of us wanna be alone forever. So, maybe if we’re both still single in a year or whatever, we could just—” he waved a hand vaguely, like he was lassoing the future— ”make it official.”
“Official?” he echoed, head even fuzzier now.
Eddie’s mouth twitched. “Yeah, we could just get married, or something close enough to it."
Buck’s heart tripped over itself.
On New Year's Eve, Buck and Eddie made a drunken pact: if they were both still single in a year, they'd marry each other. They didn't mean to start sabotaging the other's love life to make it happen, but somewhere along the way, that's exactly what they ended up doing.
Now the only question is... how far are they willing to take it?

For some reason,” Danny says into his phone, before hanging up and dropping it onto the counter next to him, despite Duke’s protests. He’s starting to get the impression that this isn’t the lighthearted joke he thought it was. He turns his attention towards the clown. “And you’re not the pizza delivery boy. Or, at least, I hope you’re not. Won’t be ordering from them again if you are.”When Danny finds a box just outside of his brand new Gotham apartment, he thinks nothing of it... until he opens it up to find a crushed taxidermy bird inside and a weird note signed only by a J.
