“That’s not a fair question. That’s a personal question where I’m not the only one involved. It was someone on the trip. Let’s leave it at that."
“Come onnnnn, that’s not an answer!”
Charlie felt his blood boil. “Well it’s the answer you’re fucking getting, so drop it.” He spat.
Charlie could taste the blood in his mouth from how hard he was biting his tongue. He wanted to argue back so badly, but he physically couldn’t. Anything he said about the manner risked lowering the list of suspects. And outing Nick.
