He is about to leave the room when he stalls at the doorway. He turns around and looks at the other man staring out the window. His hands were folded on his lap. Seo Dong-Jae looks down the dark hallway in front of him. His hand tightens on the doorway, the dark was overwhelming him. “Come stay with me tonight”, Seo Dong-Jae says. He was self-serving, asking the other man to be his emotional crutch. So he was not alone in the dark.
Hwang Si-Mok looks at him, and without saying much he stands up. Seo Dong-Jae takes that as a yes and walks out. He stops right as the darkness confronts him. Hwang Si-Mok walks next to him and takes the flashlight out of Seo Dong-Jae’s hand, he then places his hand on his back pushing him along. Seo Dong-Jae is stunned, wondering why Hwang Si-Mok is touching him.
“Kang Won-Chul told me about your PTSD”, Hwang Si-Mok says. Seo Dong-Jae freezes, and he turns his head slowly.Bookmarked by Jasper_Wolf

To his surprise, though, the stranger doesn’t fight back. He puts his hands up and stares at Simon with wide eyes. “Hey, um,” he starts, “I know you probably can’t, like, understand me—but, uh, I was trying to help you. You looked a little—I kind of thought you were a corpse, to be honest.”
A corpse? Simon squints. The organs at his throat gasp for air strangely and then, failing that, close up with an air of finality. Briefly, he allows himself a glance back at the panel that leads to where he had been, but only sees a white wall smudged with the blood he’s still coated in.
“Yeah, you were kind of free-floating.” The guy swallows. “In space.”
Simon wants to squeeze the life out of him for saying such absolute bullshit—to his face, no less. Except his eyes still burn from that light. That blazing light. It couldn’t have been what he thought it was.

or: Doctor Ryland Grace brings what he assumes is a dead body onto the Hail Mary. One small issue: the body isn’t actually as dead as he thought, and Simon is freaking out.

(This would be a lot easier if their captives weren’t convinced everyone they talk to is dead. It would also be easier if they didn’t spend half their bloody time bickering.)

why on salazars green earth is potter smiling at him? why has the boy not even attempted to reach for his wand?
the moment of silent staring is interrupted by arthur weasley. lucius can’t help but notice the fear and anger that glazes over the boys eyes. hes sure he hadn’t imagined the boys hands shaking either when corvus brings it up later.
something big was happening and lucius cant help but wonder if it will be in their favour —the dark faction— or if it will be in neither.

Especially when he hears about a certain Sith, an aruetii, who supposedly stole the title of Mand'alor but is not Mandalorian? Well, Din has to take his lawful place, right? Even if that means picking up strays, reluctantly doing his job of ruling a people, speaking to his (two??) Darksabers, and so so much more.

He's pretty sure this isn't quite what the Armourer meant.
According to his Creed, Din is now an apostate, dar'manda, no longer Mandalorian, yet he is also Mand'alor courtesy of a weird laser sword that he can't seem to get rid of.
In which Din tries to reconcile with his new titles, goes on a journey of self-discovery, and does his best to ignore the incessant ringing noise emanating from the cursed blade on his belt (but that's ok because he’s starting to get the sense that the feeling is mutual).

The Olden Way held different values from most Resol’nare. Their Creed kept their Ways close, they kept their secrets with their lives. It was difficult to find information on them because they themselves were hard to find. They were ghosts.
The only reason Jaster knew that much was because one of his closer Verde was once of a Covert. His Creed was broken and while he sought Redemption to return in the beginning, he found his soulmate who was not of his Creed.
“Olden Way or not, our tendons have granted him the life debt of my ad and me. One for saving his life, and one because I failed to be there to protect it.” Jaster muttered. “We’ll find him.”

The two brothers struggle to adjust not just to a new home but to a new culture and the discovery that much of what they believed about the world and the codex was wrong. But even as they find a way to fit into this new life, the shadow of their past lingers - and Njohrr accepts defiance with as much grace as he does weakness.
