    Summary

"Zewu-Jun. You once told me about a house surrounded by gentians, where you visited once a month, and how Lan Zhan still waited there, even when the door no longer opened."

Xichen feels light-headed. He feels shocked, and angry. He has never told anyone such a thing, but Lan Zhan is giving Xichen a look of utter betrayal.

"You told him?" Lan Zhan whispers. "When?"

Wei Wuxian takes Lan Zhan's hand. "About twenty years from now."

Wei Wuxian starts again from the beginning.

Fuck fuck fuck this broke my fucking heart
The amount of tears I've shed over this fic is honestly ridiculous
Or maybe not ridiculous- well deserved tears they were for such a heart wrenchingly beautiful story
I will never regret reading this in like, a days time because i got so invested in it that i couldnt put it down
I loved all the characters and the way they were portrayed, as well as the addressing of problems and the way they were solved. Wei Wuxian's mental issues in particular definitely made me cry the most because his trauma is so evident in every action he took when his amnesia and anger and fear set in. And then of course the way others would react to his unintentional outbursts- so destructively and beautifully human that it kind of hurt me on a personal level.
And of course, I loved every single interaction between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji with the others. Something about the way they express themselves in their own peculiar ways to those who may be considered "normal" is kind of fascinating.
Of course we also can't forget about the like, dozen different character studies that you can pick up when the focus of the chapter becomes clear. Somehow it really ironed out a lot of the rough edges of the characters of the book because the novel simply didnt have enough time to forge the rest of their characters in such limited space and limited life.

Bascially, all this ranting amounts to: I loved the fuck out of this story and would 10/10 recommend to anyone ever who has read the novel.

Brett sighed and looked down at the folder in his hand.
    “Your name is Peter, right?”
    “Lawyer.”
“Peter, we haven’t even started talking. Let’s just take a minute to ease up.”
    “Lawyer.”
“Bud, we haven’t charged you with a crime. This is just talking.”
    “Law. Yer.”

    Goddamn.

It's hard to continue hating a person when said person is apparently a rather kind soul. Even if that person isn't a person at all, but an android with the same job as him.

    Holy crud.
When I tell you I fucking c ri e d- like this shit fucking hurt.
I can't really say how in character this is, for either Connor or Gaven considering the new circumstances behind deviancy and Gaven's character being unexplored save for "hating androids". However, I'd like to believe that this is something that definitely could happen all things considered.

Connor's new introduction to deviancy and the things that come as a package deal would be difficult to work with. Emotions- despite how humanizing it is, is also detrimental and this fic showed that perfectly. The gameplay itself is played by a human- basically showing just how human they can be because they can be just like you. Make the same right or wrong decisions. Can absolutely fuck up and make things better. Decisions that can be a grey area that you just have to settle with because there is nothing better. The pain that comes with realizations that sometimes never goes away. The equally painful acceptance that follows. I loved this fics depiction of that.

Now Gaven is a fairly static character in the actual gameplay. He doesn't do much besides be a nuisance and to show just how humans could look at androids in settings such as work. He's an understandably frustrating person to interact with on all accounts. Some people never change and Gaven seems to be pretty solid on his stance in the android revolution. But the point is that they can. It just takes time and effort- and in this case, he's absolutely lucky that it was Connor that he interacted with. I imagine that there are quite a few androids who wouldn't hesitate to destroy him in similar circumstances and situations. Having him reflect on his actions and see the cost of his decisions through acceptance and breakdowns was beautifuly written for how soul crushing it was. And while perhaps Gaven might never understand what deviancy means in an android in the gameplay- theres the equally non zero chance that he could and I could see Connor being a major eye opener.

Tldr: Connor being human and Gavens acceptance of it his shitty actions hurted but also I loved it and would read it again 800/10

    Summary

“Momota-chan thinks he has to do everything alone,” he drawls. “He thinks he has to take care of everyone, always putting their needs before his and acting like he has to carry the whole damned world on his shoulders.”

He raises his head, this time looking straight at Momota, his eyes bright and gaze piercing right through him, the intensity of it making a shudder crawl up the length of his spine. “Isn’t that right, Momota-chan?”

Momota’s frown deepens. “You say it as if it’s a bad thing.”

Hanahaki is something I both love and hate in equal measure. Because the thought of love being able to physically drag you when you're already emotionally down is cruel. That you could die to something that already feels like it could eat you from the inside out, and with a vicious beauty to hide behind too.
But the beautiful fics that come from this torturous disease is truly wonderful and fascinating- whether they end with a true love's kiss or death or removed feelings.
The idea that Hanahaki isn't really from unrequited feeling feels like both a foreign concept and not. For all that it keeps being mentioned, the disease in a majority of Happy End fics only upends itself after love is confessed on both ends, or the victim feels loved after being kissed. It's as interesting as it is fitting.
That being said, I loved this idea of Momota getting hanahaki. In a majority of the fics I've read so far, which isnt as many as I'd like, Kokichi ends up being the target- whether his loves endeavor be Saihara or Kiibo or someone else. But Momota's self sacrificial personality really took the Hanahaki up a notch, and the end result was beautiful.
Thank you for this amazing fic, and I'll definitely be revisiting and rereading it!

    Summary

Nobody likes Kokichi Ouma. When he drops out of Hope's Peak after junior year, a ding-dong-the-witch-is-dead sense of relief pervades class 79.

...Things are a little different for Saihara, who hates himself for deciding to hold off on confessing (yes, confessing) to Ouma until their senior year. Steeling his nerves, he strikes up an email correspondence with his unlikely crush.

He can't shake the feeling that there's something off about Ouma's replies.

    Fuck fuck fuck fuck
This hurt so fucking much what the shit
I've been putting off reading this for fucking ages because I was scared off by the amount of angst that I'd heard was packed into this fic. I honest to god thought it was just another really sad angst story where they find out they're not right for each other.

And then i got this and it was
    So much
    More
It was psychological horror. And you would have never expected it because it starts off almost cute. Sweet. A nice get together story. And then you get towards then end of chapter one and theres an oh shit feeling behind it. You're too hooked to stop. It was almost like being in a trance.
I don't think I will ever be able to look at the number 25,244 the same way ever again. I don't know how it would come up in a regular conversation but... It hit harder than a bullet train.

This really isn't for the weak of hearts and absolutely look at the warnings if you do plan to read this because it treads some very dark themes. Do not ignore them.
