Summary
On their way back to Camelot, Merlin and Arthur get ambushed by bandits. Arthur gets hurt in the fight, and Merlin—instead of acting like a proper servant to the king—shuts down all of Arthur’s protests and makes them share a horse so that Arthur can rest. Now, for the remainder of their way home, Arthur is seated behind Merlin in the saddle and given nothing but time to contemplate the longing in his heart.
The warmth that Merlin offers in the crisp air—Arthur’s arms wrapped around Merlin’s middle, his chin on Merlin’s shoulder—might just finally make him act on his feelings.

“No,” Arthur just says, and stares at the car. “You can’t be serious. Your car is falling apart.”
Immediately, Merlin's smile disappears. Belatedly, Arthur remembers his promise to Lancelot. To be fair, being nice doesn’t constitute being killed by someone’s excuse for a vehicle. They really can’t blame Arthur for that.
“He’s doing just fine,” Merlin says defensively. “He’s a classic, and he’s meant to be this way. Hello, by the way, nice to meet you. My name is Merlin, so glad to be travelling with you to our mutual friends’ wedding. Arse.”
Or:
Lancelot and Gwen are getting married on the other side of the continent. Merlin is a reckless driver with a car that shouldn't be allowed on the road, and is the single most annoying person one could ever spend five days in a car with. He's also penniless, rude, secretive, has the broadest smile Arthur has ever seen on a person, and is a piano prodigy.
If only Arthur weren't afraid of flying.

Dean clears his throat. Blinks a few times. “Oh.”

Cas was being so… so normal. So fucking normal and it was starting to piss Dean off. He wasn’t some kind of masochist; he didn’t want to see Cas in pain or anything, but he was still silently freaking out in most moments of the day and Cas was just… there.
La di da, back from the dead again, just another Thursday.
This time was different than the others, and yet, Cas appeared to be just the same.
Why couldn’t Dean just accept that and let it go?

Summary
All in all, Arthur was one of those men about whom it could be said that their heart was in the right place, although he did take great pains to hide it. Still, the core of decency made Merlin endure the thick layers of arrogance (and their thin crispy crust of arseholery) with more patience than he’d ever thought possible. There was indeed a promise of greatness about Arthur that Merlin was willing to believe in.

“This is getting really old. You know I dont fall for this cut-rate crap anymore.” Castieal called out to the rippling darkness before him with a sigh. Jack’s brows furrowed and his head quirked to the side in the way it did when he was seeing deep into someone before he knelt down and pressed both hands to the sides of Castiel’s head to force them to meet eyes.
“Dad. Its me.”
Castiel went stock still in Jack’s hands, eyes growing wide as he registered the warmth of Jack’s palms and the intent look in his eyes. None of what he said was any different from what Castiel had heard from the empty millions of times before, but the fear and anxiety laced in his tone, paired with the slight downward curve of his lips was entirely new. The Empty always conjured up moments of pure joy, without doubt or worry unless it was on Castiel’s part, so it would be all the more satisfying when he ripped them away—but this? This was raw emotion he saw in Jack’s eyes and the trembling of his hands. This was real.

Cas comes back from the empty and decides fatherhood is his purpose. Miscommunications occur and Dean finally locks in.

When Dean kicks human Cas out in season 9, instead of ending up at a Gas N Sip, he happens to run into a photographer who is struck by the depth of sorrow in his blue, blue eyes. He takes a few pictures, with Castiel's permission, and they're so good he goes looking for Cas again a few days later. Invites Cas for a shoot at his studio. Cas had nothing better to do, so he agrees. The more pictures he takes, the more the photographer realizes, this could really be something. He tries a few rolls with props, and Cas immediately homes in on the large black wings. They strike a deal, Cas will crash at the studio a few days, and the photographer will take pictures, and try to sell them to some contacts he has in some specialty magazines. Whatever money he can get from the shots, they'll split.
And that's how the next time Dean sees Cas, it's in a centerfold. Blue eyes front and center daring him to look anywhere else, full, spread wings above his shoulders, framing his I-am-an-angel-and-you-will-obey-me expression and not a stitch on him. -

Jimmy acts like Cas’s guide about human stuff and gets low-key protective of him and doesn’t let the boys treat him like shit. Also, he doesn’t let Cas make dumb mistakes like hiding things from the boys and he forces them to talk about things instead.
This is going to be a collection of short drabbles where each chapter is a separate story and can be read individually. Eventual Destiel.

Jayce feels his face flush until he's uncomfortably hot. He sputters and fumbles around his words, looking anywhere except Viktor. "I don't—I mean, it's—I'm not—"
"Heimerdinger put you up to this," Viktor concludes, lips turning up with a smirk. Jayce isn't sure whether to weep from relief or shout in frustration. Apparently Viktor takes his confused silence as confirmation. "One of his many attempts to get me out of the lab. I never expected him to make you do his dirty work, however."
Jayce hopes Heimerdinger is a very forgiving yordle, because he's not about to correct Viktor's assumption. He simply holds up the intricate (expensive) regalia—woven out of pure gold and crimson threads—and asks: "Is that a yes then?"
Jayce is still a student at the Academy, Viktor is the teaching assistant his peers pine after, and they've been dancing around each other for far too long. Eventually Jayce makes his intentions clear to anyone with a pair of eyes and lick of sense. Well, anyone except Viktor apparently.
