Really, he should have known that David was… preoccupied. Usually, David knows when Jack gets home from work and will meet him out in the living room so they can have dinner together- usually leftovers- and bitch about all the weird shit they had to deal with in the twelve-odd hours they’ve spent away from each other. Typical roommate stuff. Jack guesses that David must have been distracted with– yeah, and that’s why he didn’t realize Jack was home, and why he must have thought he was alone in the apartment, and Jack can’t think of anything aside from David when he shuts the door to his room.
Turning in a small circle, Jack rubs his face and groans. “What the fuck,” He mutters to himself, then shakes his arms out and hurries to his dresser. “What the fuck,” He repeats as he pulls his work shirt over his head, slipping into a more comfortable crew neck, and he debates for a long moment whether he should just– should he change out of his jeans? Is that weird? Is it weird that he’s–
God. Jack is half-hard, and it’s his own damn fault for listening to David fucking Jacobs’ stupid fucking moan.

But a captain needed a first officer. And for now, at least, Spock needed Commander James Tiberius Kirk.

Spock knows that he is required by both duty and friendship to listen to Jim’s words. Unfortunately, all he can think about is how Jim’s soft pink lips felt wrapped around various parts of his anatomy.
“I’m so sorry for what happened down there, Spock. For the fact that you were forced into that against your will.”
Spock groans as Jim sucks two fingers into his mouth, his world momentarily going white with pleasure. He cannot help thrusting his fingers into that wet heat as his other hand works the clasp of Jim’s pants. The need to touch every inch of Jim is dizzying. Spock momentarily leaves the heat of Jim’s mouth to tear the human's shirt from his body.
“I swear to you, it won’t affect our working relationship. Or our friendship. I won’t let it.” Jim’s face is the picture of sincere remorse.

Diverging from Kirk and Spock's first meeting in SNW 2x06 'Lost in Translation', Spock and Jim begin an affair that is the definition of wrong-place, wrong-time.
Episodic series split broadly into phases.
Phase 1 (stories 1-6) covers the back-half of SNW S2 and can be read in any order. Kirk meets Spock, sparks fly, songs are sung, and yeomen are involved.
Phase 2 (7-10) onward covers Hegemony and the aftermath and should be read in order. A daring rescue, some ill-advised surgery, a trip to Risa, a new enemy.
Phase 3 - (11-14) revenge is a dish best served at a formal gala, and the aftermath.Featuring sweeping romance, sex farce, screwball comedy, hot hot sex, a lot of singing, Vulcan pop groups, gardening in space, the inevitability and impact of gossip and a hell of a lot of allegories...plus a supporting cast of dozens of absolutely ridiculous OCs.
