Summary
It’s love in its purest form, a fire that cannot be tamed, one tearing down any weak foundation in its path.
The soul’s gentleness borders on wickedness and the human is no better in their encouragement to bring down their sensitive shell. Kris kills their God over and over again, devours them and questions their own position as a devotee rather than the deity.
It’s with this dynamic that the two march on towards education, with no chance at redemption. The soul quickly forms itself an image and role as a human being, rendering their quiet follower to a simple mind in the background.
The result is akin to a tomb, a punishment delivered by hounds.
or: the soul’s journey continues, with Toriel deeming them “fit” to be amongst monsters and by proxy, breathing living things— she seals both her guest and child’s fate, making them meet their ends. There’s so much red.

Summary
“I can turn you into poetry, but I cannot make you love me.”
Thus is the expression of the hopeless maiden’s desire, a candle whose will to keep shining bright has lost any true meaning if not the simple and forceful yell of the expression “just live”. Rudo is the obligatory punishment to a child like them, a copy of their endless suffering with a shifting trajectory— unlike them, his grief had allowed him to move.
Unlike him, they had nothing left to lose. When picked up by Enjin and letting their naked flesh be cradled by the man’s rough yet gentle hands, the first thing the child does is cry— the fountain works start before they can even explain their own shortcomings, the reason for their aching.
The drive home is silent aside from their soft hiccups soothed only by Gris’ gentleness, they feel ashamed and as usual, hopeless— they’re restless, scared.
or: Team Akuta loses a young teammate, in exchange, they find a gender struggling young boy insisting on his (her) masculinity, biting at his (her) flesh to not let the girl within be born, to not feed this futile hope.
Yet, she is born, and so full of love.

Summary
Love doesn’t solve everything life has already taken, it all but solidifies the joke that they are a walking failure needing rescuing. What they don’t understand is where things went wrong, if really, they can even lead a normal life with their head steady on their shoulders.
Nothing can be said, even the loudest of screams cannot snap them out of the daze that is produced by their ringing ears— silently, they realize, everything is but naught. The human had known they were born mediocre, and yet everything still hurts as much as if they were still an infant.
or: a multi-chapter interpretation of the objects co-existing with a Player suffering from past abuse and their attempts to all get along in hope of alleviating the pressure on their beloved.
All from the povs of our dateables and generally narrated in third person.

Summary
It’s the “I love you” that seals their misguided fate. A confession delivered too early yet too late.
The Angel welcomes the beast in almost eagerly, letting the human’s hands wrap themselves around their throat. The divine grins at the asphyxiated look mirrored in their tormentor's own anatomy, it truly feels like they’re both dying.
As fast as they can, they kill. They let themselves be consumed by an undying thirst fueled by the drowning that’s promised soon after. They’re suffering together, and that’s all that matters.
Kris slaughters the god at the altar, makes themself a wretched lost follower to be hunted for centuries to come. In that small timeframe, the angel is reborn, and even more in love.
or: Kris’ unexplainable blossoming love and hatred for the angel, in an attempt to make sense of it all they draw and write— give it their all. No matter what, the copies pale to the beauty of their unaware muse.

Summary
To be a witness is to choose to speak or remain silent. Kris finds that it is possible to be neither. Eager for the consciousness to lift from the monochrome shell, one finds that they can truly hate something that isn’t The Angel, for in that moment, all they can find to loathe is its vessel.
The Saint is smiling, glowing— living. Their hollow and glimmering hands extend, reaching into the soft spoken and relentless hollowness of the inside of their new home, the both of them smiling as if amazed. The vessel hugs themself, Kris grimaces— they feel like they’ve witnessed the end.
The end of what exactly, is lost to them.
It should just be the two of them going home from that dark world. So, for seven days, Kris counts down for the vessel’s untimely demise, aware of its cost and price. They want it to crumble, they can’t stand to be near when it’s like this— unarguably human.
All Kris wants is for the soul to hold their hand.
or: losing your purpose and finding out that the only thing you must have been good for was that exact role you had attempted to reject so many times.

Summary
Their true vessel is nothing short of a ragdoll in the way the soul goes about handling it.
A small, young and stupid God now stationed into a frail being, the lines between eldritch and childish blur— and in return, Kris comes to find they’ve been stuck alongside an overgrown house cat more than a feral stray.
There’s something the soul really loves doing, it’s biting, the adoration for the feeling of their teeth sinking into something eagerly. They’re not sure how this development ensued or how (or why) their mother entertains the other child, but they welcome it.
Something is almost gentle about the illusion of domesticity they agreed on, the rising urge to choke the humanoid not quite gone. Always there, in some foreign dark (and darker) part of their brain, Kris acknowledges it, they want it to cease.
They want to kill it, the angel, and all its sins.
or: an introduction to a DELTARUNE writing series with different scenarios showcasing Kris and the soul’s odd friendship, from eldritch creature to a simple idiotic child-god somehow being entrusted with saving the world.

But how does one forget love, they ask. Yet they’ve come to the conclusion and the shame that indeed, love has left their grasp and they’ve succumbed to something close yet so far.
The cleaner is tasked with keeping a diary, to write down the undeniable aching that comes with living. In the sanctuary of the papers, words nestled and protected— they lay their vision of the world and alongside it, questions its rot.
Day by day, they too, spoil— they become a meal no one desires to indulge in, and at the prospect of being discarded, they almost want to puke. Relinquish in that disgusting but safe lust— they’re in a rush. An anticipation of death, that surely, will release them.
Yet they never meet it, that exquisite end.

So he thinks, or he feigns the ability to do so— and he waits, like a lost child, for heaven to pick him up.
And it seems that centuries later, they’ve finally answered him— and his foolish prayers.
or: what could have been will be, or it will not be— he aches to see it. He is dead yet alive, sinful yet pure, a lamb covered in blood but cleansed by its nature as a necessary sacrifice.

Summary
They’re both violent dogs— strays which cannot and will not be tamed with the prospect of finding a better home, a good home. Instead the two feed off each other and take and take— bite at the other’s flesh and rip it open for the world see.
They paint such an obsessive picture— sealed by their existences which are only justified, if the other as always, is there too.
They’re all bark and bite.

Summary
And it is paradise, for a demon like Abaddon— to be loved in the way a child should be loved, for all his pride and bravado, he is at heart now, weak and confused. He remembers the first time he stumbles upon the woman, unable to voice out the fact that her beloved jewel is no more.
He is a fraud parading around with a flesh suit that is cherished, and like an evil and selfish demon (that he is)— he soaks it up, lets himself be cradled by the woman in a sense and smiles at her, the previous word “mother” so foreign on his tongue yet so close, and he gets it.
His own little taste of heaven after all those meals of reboots and reboots— Abaddon becomes just like that futile and foolish vessel, a child who cries for its progenitor and unlike before, she answers— she saves.
or: a multi-chaptered haunted hotel work, with the reader as the mother of Abaddon’s vessel and how he deals with the prospect of being loved, in some sick and twisted way of his own making.
All from Abaddon’s and the other characters’ povs, generally narrated in third person.

Summary
After the betrayal her humanity has caused, the prince(ss) has grown to despite the mortal shell, like a cocoon a butterfly will not emerge from— she suffocates. The rot settles in and in a pitiful attempt to cheer her up and fix the scarring on her (his) skin, Leviathan steps in and becomes the anchor he too, desperately needs.
They go to a convention, with Leviathan as Ruri.
Leviathan as Ruri— Leviathan is shamelessly a woman. And as if heeded by a corrupt reasoning, the princess adorns a knightly attire and convinces herself it is fine then, that in a duo there must be a “man”, as the lord intended.
This is an excuse.
An excuse to be who he is, that is.
(And she has never loved a woman— because she loves a man in a way another man would love a man, and when she finds her morals questioned.. she caves and yet it does not matter they make something close to love).
(Sticky, wrong, and shameful closeted “love”).
(But it’s not).
or: after the events of lesson 16, a depressed human is dragged around by the sin of envy in an attempt to finally be the first in something.
all from the brothers’ pov and generally narrated in third person.

Summary
“There is still time.”
The prince(ss) does not say, because to her, there is no time. She has let the hours and years pass by, a few decades, a few centuries? And maybe in the wake of her agony, she acknowledges this irony, how something so gentle and so guarded had let itself fall victim to the rot of humanhood.
The prince(ss) is pleading.
The prince(ss) is pleading to Celestia and hoping for her prayers to be answered, like a lamb that was taught no better but to turn to something they didn’t even believe existed in their time of need- clutching the rosary that was their parting gift with common human society and letting it sink to showcase their fall into debauchery.
The prince is a liar.
And a tired liar, he is.
(He doesn’t know it yet, but he will part from the girlhood his mother was so content he brought with his birth— join the ranks of the idiots dead to shame, and never see her again— fall victim to slumber and by extension, its sinner).
(The brothers find him dead, sprawled on the stairs).
or: a retelling of lesson 16 with an agonizing and gender struggling MC.
All from the brothers’ pov and generally narrated in third person.

Summary
Leviathan likes when his human kisses it better, even if he never gets injured. What he wants to convey when he begs them to help him, is that really, he just desires even the tiniest of breaks.
There is something unsaid, something even the loudest of words can’t convey— silently awaiting his turn, the avatar of envy aches and aches. His greed all consuming, laid bare before him.
