Now Damian is bugging him about cows and family and Jason and Dick won't stop kidnapping him and Bruce is acting like court orders don't matter, like he doesn't have a huge bat-shaped secret to protect from literally the whole freaking world.
Why is Tim the only functioning adult in this situation?
This was supposed to be coated in angst, but it fell in the fluff bucket instead. (So, update, some people are saying this may not be as fluffy as I am advertising it. I plead the 5th.)

Roy Harper was possibly the dumbest man alive.
He'd always considered himself the type to learn the hard way - but once he had - he would never intentionally repeat a mistake.
Perhaps that character assessment had been mistaken, however, considering he'd learned this lesson before. He could swear he’d had a very similar conversation with Jade as he was having with Jason now. A discussion about moving forward and mistakes made. It was less so about blame than Roy probably deserved.
After all, as Jason put it, all of this could've been avoided if he'd just fucking used protection.

“Yeah?” Dick says, eyebrows raised. For a moment they just stare at each other over their half-eaten brunch. Then Dick frowns, too, like he’s come to some kind of confusing realization. “Wait. Are you saying that you and Roy aren’t?”
If Jason had known that saying yes to brunch would lead to this, he would’ve said no, no matter how good the poached eggs are. Right now, though, he can’t say anything. All he can do is stare at Dick with his face as full of shock and confusion as his brother’s. Jesus Christ, this is why he doesn’t do family dinners or lunches or anything. Some kind of bullshit always happens.

He and Bruce were as close as they could be, and Jason called his siblings every few weeks to catch up. Alfred was getting older, but Jason would still visit to help cook. Jason’s joking reference to Clark as ‘Pops’ had turned less sarcastic with each remark.
