Jayce keeps the smile plastered on his face as his hand comes down on a button.
A jolt of pleasure hits Viktor deep in his core, sudden like a flood as he chokes on his words, nervous system lighting up, sweeping outwards from the center to his back and legs, toes — not paws — curling from the force.
"Good," Jayce says, eyes flickering to the monitor where it'd emitted a slew of frantic beeps.
Viktor nearly dies from an augmentation gone awry.
He wakes up and finds Jayce, who fixes his botched repairs and a little more beyond that.

Summary
Viktor doesn't deserve to be here. He's not crazy, he's not going to kill himself. So what if he's underweight? That doesn't mean he deserves to have his right to refuse treatment taken away from him. Not for six whole months minimum.
Jayce can almost taste it - freedom, finally, after ten agonisingly long months of inpatient treatment after a BPD crisis led to a near fatal suicide attempt. Nothing can stop him now - he's on the road to recovery.
Or: Jayce and Viktor meet in an acute mental health unit. In an attempt to help each other, they end up undoing all of their progress.

Summary
While on a mission storming a HYDRA facility, James Buchanan Barnes touches one of the many strange alien devices collected by the Red Skull. He does this, in fact, twice— in the past, and in the future.
Next thing he knows, Bucky Barnes is opening his eyes in the 21st century, which is full of great gadgets and coffee, and at least includes his old pal Steve. (And, inexplicably, a different Stark.) Meanwhile, the Winter Soldier finds himself in the middle of World War Two, helping Captain America hunt down HYDRA (which is at least familiar), pretending to be Bucky Barnes (which is not), and figuring out the very noisy group of soldiers who call themselves the Howling Commandos.
