Lost in the Pandoran desert, separated from his friends and plagued by a certain cerulean AI that happens to have taken up residence in his head, Rhys is certain his doom is impending. That is, until he meets a mysterious stranger whose definitely hiding more than a few secrets but seems sincere in his desire to assist the Company Man. Together, the three embark on a journey across the planet that will expose truths, unveil the clandestine, and ultimately seal fates. Blood and sweat will inevitably be shed on the worn and twisted path, as it wouldn’t be a Pandoran adventure if they weren’t. Hell, there could even be tears. Hopefully not Rhys’, if he has anything to say about it.

With the opening of the Vault Rhys and Fiona thought their journey would be over, but the Vault wasn't what they thought it was. And the things that built the Vault were also not as dead as they thought they were.
On their way back to their friends, they will cross the path of new threats and face old enemies. Form new scars as the old ones heal (while trying not to get killed). Getting in the middle of a war with aliens was never their intention, but shit happens. You know, no rest for the wicked.

The Commonwealth is seeing it's first era of peace in a very long time. Innocent civilians are no longer haunted by the Institute. The Brotherhood of Steel has, alongside the Prydwen, vanished in a spectacular firebomb. With the Minutemen running the show and the Railroad providing amnesty for escaped Synths, all is well.
Except the Sole Survivor has been missing for two years, and nobody is quite sure where she may have gone. Or if she's even alive.

After opening the Vault, Rhys finds himself lost with Fiona in a jungle that may-or-may-not be on Pandora, and a niggling, familiar whisper at the back of his head. Soon, fuelled by desperation and exhaustion and something else he can’t place, he makes an extremely stupid decision that might get him, and everyone he loves, killed horribly. Or might help him get home. If he doesn’t totally lose his sanity first.
Meanwhile, despite being left locked up by Rhys, Yvette survived the fall of Helios. Working as a bounty hunter, she is trying to just survive long enough to figure out how to get off-planet. But when she encounters her old co-workers out in the wastes, Yvette finds herself roped into tracking down and rescuing the man who left her to die. Though she was sure she’d be able to do that much more successfully without the con-artist girl breathing down her neck.

Not every future can be predicted, Rhys knew, but he'd hoped things would be slightly easier. The Vault of the Traveler only held pain and cryptic mysteries for him. On the upside, Atlas is rising from its grave, thanks to his efforts.
Jack returns to reclaim his throne once more because heroes never die, apparently. They have a storied past, perhaps too much to work past. As if Rhys didn't have enough trouble managing strained friendships, a Vault-mutated hand that causes chronic pain, drunken weekends at the club, and the craziness of Jack suddenly fixating on him, his unpleasant past comes back to haunt him. A cult eyes a new power that was revealed by the Vault of the Traveler, waiting for their chance to claim it as their own.

Summary
When a stranger broke into his barrier to rescue the Traveler, Dottore was struck with an overwhelming sense of familiarity. It then dawned on him that this was no stranger at all. His memories of Scaramouche were restored, awakening with it an obsession that once laid dormant inside him.
He had already lost Scaramouche once. He refused to make the same mistake again.
Or, Dottore remembered Scaramouche and has no intention of ever letting him go.
