Summary
In July 2013, high-ranking Neo-Umbrella operatives hidden in the US government's Division of Security Operations retrieve a severely infected - but alive - Piers Nivans from Chinese waters.
After months of experimentation and a C-Virus cure synthesized from Jake Muller's antibodies, Piers - with hardly any memory of his former life, fitted with a high-tech prosthetic arm, and assigned the codename Fox - is a model US asset, assigned to "help" DSO Agent Leon S. Kennedy eradicate remaining Neo-Umbrella strongholds and eliminate the C-Virus.
Unbeknownst to him, Fox's true mission is to feed intel on DSO operations back to Neo-Umbrella, but as he and Leon get to know each other, Neo-Umbrella's control slips and secrets begin to come to light.
Meanwhile, Chris is just miserable and sad because he thinks Piers is dead. Sorry Chris. It'll be okay.

Leon doesn't seem upset, though, leaning back against the stone baluster with a contemplative look. "Hmm. No, it's okay. Actually, it might solve our problems if people do think that."
"If people think… we're together?" The words feel strange in his mouth, almost expecting to be slapped for even thinking about it, but Leon nods slowly.
"I mean, would save us the trouble of inventing any fake spouses, you know? And this line of work doesn't leave much space for a relationship outside of it anyway. It makes sense, don't you think?"
God, does it make sense. If only Leon knew how often and thoroughly Chris had considered that it made sense. Well, perhaps it's still better he doesn't know. "Yes." Chris's voice comes out raspy, and he clears his throat and tries again. "Yes, it makes sense."

It became too much, the sincerity Chris offered, the patience, the way he waited for the other shoe to drop, and Leon looked away, glancing at their joined hands, and it was then that he saw a ring on Chris' finger as well, one that matched his own. He let himself dream, for a moment, let himself fly away in search of a world where his wishes were not impossible, just another fact, and his filter crunched under the weight of it all, so he spoke next.
"Are you married?" Was the question, and Leon bit his lip, looked up and prayed for his words to pass as a joke.
As a joke they passed, because Chris laughed at his question, punching Leon's shoulder lightly.
"Yes, to an idiot." He said, laughter still a glistening shine decorating his face, making his pretty wrinkles pop.

Ever since Raccoon city, Leon had always felt something was wrong, different, he had a shitty childhood, and had hoped his first day on the job would be a fresh start, but his life still ended up being what he never thought it would turn out to be. With painful implantation of some sort of strange bioweapon/organ, he went many years without knowing exactly what this thing was and what it was doing, he didn’t care much about that either, all he cared about was getting Sherry as his daughter, then Chris had to make him fall in love making things all the more complicated,as this strange organ was not exactly hostile, not really, it was a harboring for a child,a child Chris impregnated him with.After all that Leon is trying to find a balence between, pregnancy, relationships,parenthood, and looking for answers, though more questions seem to be popping up.

Leon is an anomaly - He's been bitten by infected, tossed around biohazardous warzones and thrown into literal hell on earth, and still he remains. He walks, he talks, and he does his job.
He wants everyone to think he's fine. He doesn't want to end up someone's experiment to end the world. He's just a normal guy, after all!
The reality is he is far from normal... and he hasn't been in a very long time.
He wasn't normal before Raccoon City, and he surely won't be after...-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Playing the RE2 remake got me thinking - Leon's been bit by so many infected things there is no way he hasn't been exposed to something crazy Umbrella cooked up in a lab.

Now, trapped within the walls of the House of Hope, Rolan becomes Raphael and Haarleps little plaything; his heat was theirs to use and abuse.
But the longer things go on, the more tired he became, and he missed his siblings. Rolan only hoped they'd be alright without him.

“I only borrowed it! He's never been awake enough to ask about spares, so. It was easier to just sort it out myself.”
“It would have been easier to ask me,” Astarion points out.
“Mmmm,” Gale hums, doubtfully. “I don't know if I'd ever consider you the ‘easier’ option, Astarion, I feel that would be doing your commitment to cantankerousness a great disservice.”
