I am always, always a sucker for magical realism, curses, and people who lack empathy finding ways to show they still care about being good friends and good people (and also for people falling in love with them because of that). This fic is a fantastic and well-written one shot for all of that.

A fic in which Iruka adopts Naruto, who befriends Lee, and then Iruka engages in a romance with Lee's mentor, Maito Gai. Extremely sweet and fluffy and adorable, with some moments of angst and action, and very human and well-written. The title is... yeah, not just a line.

Sakumo is about to commit suicide and Kakashi intervenes. A fic that captures the horror and regret and high emotions of the moment really well, and gives some really satisfying and striking scenes between Kakashi and his father.

I think the author described this as "Pride & Prejudice applied to the Hobbit" and it's definitely got that feeling. It's an Everybody Lives Post-Canon AU where Thorin proposes to Bilbo, Bilbo shuts him down and returned to the Shire, and then comes back to see his friends again and engages in an accidental oblivious, slow, mutual-pining courtship with the dwarf king he already refused once. Very fluffy, very feel-good, and just very good and very well-written all around.

The beginning of the fic hits all of my mildly cracky workplace/career AU buttons, it's so funny, and then the fic turns into a sweet, mistaken identity romance. Well-written and just a joy to read. The first chapter is the fic itself and the second chapter is some great bonus content of part of the fic from Bucky's POV instead of Steve's, in which Bucky is having some very relatable (mostly internal) meltdowns over Steve Rogers.
