It took Draco a while, but he finally realized that the fire burning inside him for Harry had more to it than just hate. But with the Dark Lord taking over the the Manor and Draco’s increasing role as a Death Eater, he’s sure he’ll never get the chance to make things right, let alone have a future as anything other than Harry’s old nemesis. But surviving the war seemed impossible until he did it, so maybe there’s still hope after all.

Ten years after the war, Harry Potter is very good at being an Auror, very bad at staying out of St. Mungo's, and completely unprepared for Draco Malfoy to be the healer responsible for putting him back together. Did you know that heartbreak isn't just a metaphor? People call it "broken heart syndrome," and it's real. Losing someone you loved so deeply is draining, so deeply, and emotionally draining. It's a rare case, but overwhelming loss has been known to effect physical health; including the heart. Thankfully, doctors can treat most cases, or at least help stop the never ending endurement of pain.
Thats what was happening to Eiji. Or... at least that's what he thought was happening.

Death is surprisingly warm.
Eiji opens his eyes, the warm sun falling on his face. Cape Cod? He looks down and is surprised to see that he no longer has his worn, wrinkled hands. They are smooth and soft as if he is 19 again. Eiji looks around, confused. Then he sees him. Ash. He is standing on a cliff overlooking the ocean, his hair swirling around his face in the wind. Beautiful.

Sing knows he’s going to burn someday, knew it the moment he saw Ash in the coroner’s office. Knew it the moment he had to tell Eiji of what became of him after he left for Japan.
The guilt eats at him and keeps him awake every night. This is his fault. This is all his fault why Eiji is hurting so much, why he doesn’t allow himself to be truly happy.
Maybe burning in hell would be a small price to pay for the sin of taking away all that mattered to the person he loves.
Six years after Ash's death, Sing finds himself falling into something he can never crawl up from.
