Summary
A rare moment of discord in an otherwise healthy friendship could be ignored, he thought as Kaveh ordered tea and snacks for them. It worked the same way words did; it only had meaning if he chose to assign it one. So, he wouldn’t. There was no point in giving certain events more importance than they deserved.
Little did he know that these feelings would rear their head over the years, culminating in the moment when Alhaitham looked at the man ripping their thesis apart and saw none of Kaveh and somehow all of him, as if the moment in time when everything fell apart was nothing more than just a cruel mirror trick.
After it was all over, he recognized he had been a fool, to not have seen it coming.

“Hinata?” Kageyama blurts and shit, he really should’ve left it.
The boy makes a sleepy sound that Kageyama takes as a go ahead.
“I- em.” Okay, Tobio. Really? Why has he done this to himself? Why did he even go on this stupid trip to begin with? “I didn’t mean what I said about em- volleyball and your face or whatever.”
Smooth.Hinata doesn’t respond for a while until Kageyama hears a “Nic’ kill tanaksan’”
Screw Hinata and his sleep talking.“Well— fuck you too.” Kageyama spits, quickly turning off the flashlight. That was stupid. He just had to feel bad for the little shit, didn’t he?
Kageyama is just about asleep before he hears a ‘Tos’to me’Hinata receives a rightfully earned pillow in his face.
Or: Hinata and Kageyama argue, shocker, right?
A nasty fight between the two lead Hinata trying to solve the annoyingly-complex psyche of Kageyama to become the very best of friends, because that's totally what the growing knot in his stomach wants, yeah!
Kageyama on the other hand, is trying to spend the least amount of time with Shouyou while also being pushed by an unexpected force to spend the most time with him, and finding it.. wierdly okay?

“Why can’t I be single, Shou?” He asked impishly.
Shouyou wrinkles his nose. “‘Cause you’re the most beautiful-est man alive. Duh. You’re all… guwaah.”
“I’m not single,” he said.
Shouyou pouted. “I know. You don’t have to rub it in,” he slurred.
“I have a husband. He’s- Ah, he’s about your height, I’d say. He has hair like yours… He’s a bit smarter, though.” Tobio paused, thinking about something. “Only by a bit.” He chuckled to himself like it was an inside joke that only he knew.
