    As he reached the edge of the cliff, Shang Qinghua tried to feel for something over the edge he could use to pull himself up. His hand bumped into something firm and solid that he desperately grabbed onto. Shang Qinghua struggled to climb up, breaths coming out in pants from exertion. And when he looked to see what he was holding onto, he felt his insides drop.
    Shang Qinghua felt his entire body trembling as he looked up into the face of the man standing before him. Ink black hair spilled down his shoulders and framed his beautifully sculpted face. He stared down at Shang Qinghua, eyes and demon mark glowing blue in the cold night.

    Luo Binghe develops a gap in his memory, one that is shaped specifically like Shen Qingqiu.


    “Binghe, speak to this master,” Shen Qingqiu says firmly, and Luo Binghe gives him a strange look. Shen Qingqiu can’t place it and he leans forward, intending to get closer to see better. But the hand around his wrist instantly tightens to the point where it hurts, and Shen Qingqiu lets out a squawk of pain.

    “Binghe—!”

    “Why do you keep calling me like that?” Luo Binghe returns, and Shen Qingqiu’s eyes widen at the way the words are devoid of any emotion. It is nothing though, compared to the force of what Luo Binghe says next. “Who are you?”

    "That's alright," Yue Qingyuan said in a strangled voice.

    "It comes down to his ass."

    "Yes, you've already said as much, shidi. Several times." Yue Qingyuan looked like he wanted to die a little bit, which was unfair. He wasn't the one who'd been dosed with a wife-plot potion designed to lower inhibitions while also compelling the truth! If anyone here should be embarrassed, it was Shen Qingqiu!

    He didn't feel embarrassed, though. That was probably due to the potion, now that he thought about it.
