SUPER MINOR CHAPTER 3 SPOILERS!
In between filming for Tenna's game show in the dark world, Kris and Susie find themselves being entertained by extra games strewn about backstage. A pesky little game sprite manages to escape from the screen and poke Susie in the foot, causing her to jump right into Kris's arms.

Summary
She showed up at Kris’s door with her hood up and her tail twitching, smelling like smoke that wasn’t hers. She had one of her mother’s old flannels tied around her waist, the sleeves long and dragging. Kris didn’t ask. Just stepped aside.
Toriel, from the kitchen, poked her head out and said only: “Shoes off, dear. I just mopped.”
Like Susie belonged there.
Like she wasn’t a guest anymore.
Kris gave her the couch and curled up on Chariel. Susie protested, at first—“It’s your damn house, dude,” she said, “I can sleep on the floor, I’ve done it before”—but Kris was already half-buried in blankets and completely silent, which meant the conversation was over.
At some point, when the house had gone completely quiet and the shadows settled, Susie whispered:
“Hey.”
Kris shifted their head to look at her.
The moonlight caught her hair, the jagged edge of her teeth. Her eyes were clearer than they ever were at school. No posturing. No sneer. Just Susie. Bare and real in a borrowed T-shirt, her knees pulled up, her voice a rasp.

A cool fun fact about box turtles is that they are one of the most freeze-resistant animals alive. See, when they get too cold, their bodies have this amazing defense mechanism that diverts their blood to their core to keep them alive. Super unfortunate for the Hamato family’s blood pressure, because in severely cold environments a box turtle’s heart will actually stop beating. Fascinating right?
It would be soooo fascinating, in Leo’s humble opinion, if they had known about it before finding Mikey dead on the floor of a freezer.or, box turtles can literally have 80 percent of their bodily fluids frozen and LIVE. what the fuck.

Donnie and Leo decided, back when they were kids, that they were going to marry each other. They have always been extremely close to one another and their family thought this behavior was borderline codependent. Then, they found that there was a reason for their codependency and unwillingness to let the other alone for a mere minute: They were in love.
Mikey was on their side, even if he didn't agree fully on what they were doing. Raph was extremely anxious as he tried to help them hide this from their father.
And Splinter, being so caught up in his own twisted mind and past, just believed it was brotherly love until he decided to play a bigger role in their lives as he fought his way out of depression.

…but was she supposed to take a right turn at Albearto's or a left?
Maybe she was a teensy bit lost after all.
(Or, apparently there are some tweets about how April presumably met the guys a good few years before the events of the series, but they didn't get the chance to elaborate on it since network mismanagement shot the show in the foot. However, the idea of teensy April with tiny tortles has been bouncing around my brain like a Windows screensaver ever since I saw those tweets.)

The Kraang have been defeated. New York is being rebuilt. The key is locked away and the Hamatos are recovering. Everyone was safe... right?
Oh little one. There's work yet to be done.
They survived. They didn't win, they survived. That's the best way Donnie could describe the outcome of this whole ordeal.
With crime returning to the streets of New York and new powers awakened after the battle, Donnie felt something was wrong. Not just with his powers but with his family. There was something out there. Lurking, observing, hunting them. His family was in danger once again but this time he wouldn't allow anything or anyone to harm them. He would keep them safe.
Even if it meant crossing over a few thin lines.
