The result was not just financial, but a traumatic invasion: Fenrir Greyback entered Remus's room and sexually assaulted him.
The family fell into crisis, and Hope and Lyall’s marriage nearly ended, but over time, their financial situation improved. However, Remus developed Haphephobia. His fear triggered severe anxiety attacks. Schooling was a constant struggle and, despite psychotherapy, his development remained difficult. The only people he could touch were his mother, Hope, and his sister, Millie. Overwhelmed by guilt, Lyall distanced himself from his children, focusing solely on work.
Remus believed he would never be with anyone; he saw the world with color and love, but nothing felt "normal" to him. That was until he met Sirius Black—the most beautiful boy he had ever seen, from his black curls and blue eyes to his French accent. Sirius stared at him incredulously, his control appearing to finally snap. “Nice? Look, I’m the best at what I do, and that’s why Peter approached me for your magazine. If anything, you should be thanking me for even considering drawing for your little... sex column.”
Remus narrowed his eyes, burning with anger over the insult. All thoughts of how incredibly good-looking Sirius was were overridden by how much of an arrogant berk he was. “My little sex column? First of all, it’s a lifestyle column, and secondly, it’s the most popular item in a very successful magazine and directly responsible for our increased subscriptions!”
Sirius smirked, rolling his eyes. “Lifestyle? So whoring around is a lifestyle now?”

When Remus booked a campsite in the mountains after graduating from college, he did it mainly to appease his mom. And if he found some peace and quiet along the way, then so be it - he knew it would be hard to come by once he started graduate school in the fall. When Sirius agreed to go camping with his friends, he did it mainly to put out the thought of them leaving him behind that fall.
Neither of them intended to meet each other, or to spend the night talking under the stars, or to meet again in the same college town two months later and fall in love over shared friends, a broken down truck, and a desire for some peace, please and thank you.

Summary
In the wake of a sudden deadly zombie virus spreading across the U.K., Sirius Black, a first-year microbiology student, is thrown into survival mode when the catastrophic outbreak hits. James’ girlfriend Lily, now pregnant, depends on her boyfriend to lead their desperate escape. The trio sets out to find an evacuation point mentioned in a final radio broadcast before it cuts off.
They cross paths with Marlene, a star athlete armed with a baseball bat; Mary, a sorority socialite; and Remus, who perhaps might be ill. As they join forces, Sirius finds himself inexplicably attracted to Remus, though--in an apocalypse--romance could very well be a dangerous distraction.
After rescuing a group of teenagers, Marlene also happens to develop feelings for one named Dorcas, though the younger girl hardly looks her way. And Pandora, another teen, might just be the answer to the world's current problem.
Battling zombies, befittingly dubbed “Hollow’s”. They form alliances and endure heart-wrenching losses. They share laughter around campfires and reminisce about better times. But above all else, they have one goal; survive.

Remus lifted his eyes to take in the royal family. The queen sat on an ornate chair, looking haughty and cruel with a particular twist to her lips. His gaze drifted to the prince. He was pretty. Remus had expected that. He had the same high cheekbones and arched eyebrows as his mother, with a piercing blue stare. His raven-hair was carefully arranged as it cascaded to his shoulders. He looked too angelic to be involved in the kinds of atrocities his family had committed. But he had been. And Remus would kill all of them for it. But for now, he had to stick to his stupid mission and play nice enough to get picked as their new dog.
He glared up unflinchingly at the man seated in front of him. The announcer cleared his throat and gestured at his face. Remus reached up and peeled off the mask. He spit out the blood in his mouth and made a slight bow.
The announcer made another frantic noise. Balling his fingers into tight fists, he lowered down and dropped on one knee, bowing forward to the man but holding his gaze. "My prince," he muttered through gritted teeth, just loud enough to be heard, "I humbly ask for your favour."
