The blue-clad turtle accepts his fate when the water rises and he slowly but surely begins to run out of air, but long after his vision has darkened and his heart has gone still in his chest, he wakes up physically unscathed, as if he had never died. The mutant turtle goes on to discover that he has an unfathomable ability—the ability to conquer death—of unknown origin, and that is what he must uncover with or without his brothers.

splinter was pretty stern in his rules and of course expected Leo to follow all, the two main rules being 'don't get caught and 'don't kill', as far as Leo was aware. there were NO exceptions to either rule... he wouldn't tell though. especially if it made him seem disobedient or weak.

Yeah, no. Leo could totally do this. “Go with your gut. Whichever way you wanna go, I support you. And I’ll take on as many shifts as they’ll give me until you get back to your bread-winning self. Don’t even worry about it — hey Raphie, look at me.”
Raph audibly sniffed and turned his red rimmed eyes at his younger brother. Welling with frustrated tears. It was clear all over him that this wasn’t what he wanted.
But life wasn’t fair. Leo learned that a long time ago. He squished the arm in his grasp and said, coaxing and calm, “It’s gonna be fineee, I promise we can handle this. I’ve got your back.”
