"You idiot! You scared me"
"You're beautiful," Jon said in love, and Damian rolled his eyes and shook his head.
"You say that every time I'm mad at you, but this time it's not working," he grumbled, touching his arm with two fingers immediately. "You're lucky your head is so hard, or you'd have broken it. The doctor says you can go home soon."
Home. Well, that sounded good. There was just one tiny problem. "I wish I could, but... I don't know who you are." Jon retorted, and the worried look on Damian's face turned to complete shock.
"Are you kidding me?"
"Well, no. I don’t really know who you are."

Summary
When they came of age, Damian had decided to join the Krypton Security Force and achieved the best grades of all the cadets in half the time. He swore allegiance to the commander in charge, appeared before the Council of Five and was awarded a medal during a support mission on the planet Daxam. Any parent would have done anything to have a young man with Damian's potential in their House.

"Damian Wa-ghul." His father's voice resounded powerfully within the walls, causing the crystals to tremble and the lights to flicker. "State the reason why you stand before the House of El today."
"Kal-El, son of Jor-El." Damian took another step forward, placing his hand on the replica of the Jewel. "In honor of the family, I declare my desire to join my life with this man," he said, reaching out his other hand to Jon, who took it without hesitation, smiling at him. "On this day, and for all days henceforth." -

Summary
When he got into his Lamborghini and started the engine, he blinked and was surprised to see Jon's figure when he turned right off Main Street at 220th. Jon was walking on the sidewalk with his hands in his jacket pockets, his head was sunk into his shoulders and his posture was hunched over. Damian pulled up alongside Jon, honking his horn to get his attention. "What are you still doing here?"
"I... I can't fly," Jon finally said. He turned toward the car that had slowed to keep pace with him and saw Damian tilt his head against his shoulder.
"Excuse me?"
"I said I can't fly."
"What do you mean?"
"I... I don't know." Jon looked at his hands and tried to use his X-ray vision, but when he couldn't see through them, he blinked and glanced worriedly at Damian. "I don't have my powers anymore."
Damian braked suddenly and parked next to the sidewalk, looking Jon straight in the eye. "If this is a joke, Jonathan..."

The countryside was colder than Damian had initially imagined. Throughout his life, he had endured scorching summers and freezing winters, crossed snow-capped mountains, and waded through the wettest swamps. But winter in Smallville was something else entirely. The silence was charged with anticipation and broken only by the sound of the wind in the trees and the crunch of snow underfoot; despite the solitude all around, there was warmth, bright dots shining in a sky so blue and clear it took the breath away and cold, clean air that trapped the scent of snow and damp earth with every breath. As far as the eye could see, there was nothing and no one to be seen, the blanket of snow looked bluish under the soft light of the moon, and the cold crept into your bones, and it was absurd to think that they were so close yet so far from a safe place to take refuge and--
He suddendly felt something warm on his shoulders, and he realized it was Jon's coat. "Why did you give it to me?" he asked, turning to Jon in confusion. Jon simply shrugged.
"Well, it's not like I really need it."
"You've discovered that you're invulnerable, not immune to the cold of winter."

"Jon..." Damian whispered, throwing an arm back and grabbing a cushion as he slid down.
They could have fallen at any moment or slammed their backs into an armrest, but neither of them seemed to care. They were too busy enjoying the moment, determined not to let a single second slip away. Jon grabbed the flaps of Damian's underwear, slid them down his thighs and Damian pressed Jon's face against his legs, entwined his fingers in Jon's hair and tossed his head back. He wanted Jon to take him there and then, without making him wait any longer and--
Suddenly, Jon's phone rang, and they both froze, looking at each other for a moment. Damian glanced at the coffee table, where the phone was vibrating. The caller ID wasn't saved, but Jon sometimes received last-minute business calls and had to leave. But not tonight. Not at that moment. Was today his day off or not?

"Wow. That was so good. How will I ever recover from such an intense burn."
Jon throws his hands up in irritation, before crossing them over his chest and slumping back against the glass wall of the combine. "Whatever. Is this why you dragged me out here? To make fun of me where memaw can't yell at you?"
"Pff? No. No, I dragged you out here to give you advice. You're gonna woo little Robin so good, he'll practically come crawling."
"Puh-leez!" Jon laughed. "Everyone knows you're the one who did all the crawling for Tim."
"See, that's what I want you to think." Kon says with a smarmy smirk. "There's so much I did beforehand. You gotta play the bat to get the bat, kid."
"I don't believe a word of it." Jon says, now going so far as to turn his head away from his brother.
"Look, I'll tell you exactly what I did. If it doesn't work, I'll admit defeat and you can go ask Dick for advice. How's that?"
"Fine." Jon says with a sigh and an eyeroll, then, sarcastically, "Please teach me your ways, oh wise one."
