On the day I woke up in this world, memories in pieces and nothing but a disgusting fruit and pop culture references to guide my path, I knew I was in over my head. Getting arrested by a military officer who executed people who looked at him funny and tied to a guy whose only talents are glaring and cutting things up only made that more clear. By the time the guy made of rubber showed up, I had long since accepted how crazy the world I was in was, and honestly? I was okay with it — excited, even.

Summary
80 years ago humanity was stricken by a cruel and unwavering plague which spread from region to region wiping out any human unlucky enough to catch it. When only a handful of humans remained they resorted to drastic measures, Pokémon were seemingly immune to the plague and if they could find a way they would use this fact to save humankind. That's how all the old stories go, but nowadays only Pokémon remain, humanity is extinct and only the oldest among Pokémon could even claim to have met one before. Pokémon have guilds and villages among the ruins of the old world, having taken over what remains.
Something stirs in the remains of the old world though, a presence and experiment long thought forgotten and erased that this world hasn't seen in almost a century.
