Au where Ponyboy gets in a bad headspace, Curly pulls him out of it but influences him into helping him sell weed/do dangerous stuff. During this Ponyboy accidentally starts a gang and becomes the leader.

Ponyboy jumps infront of dally and gets shot instead (minor damage, only bedrest needed and stuff)
Dally goes to jail for 5 months (Randy's parents help him with the legal stuff)
Johnny flattened but the doctors revived him, he needs to recover and he has to use a cane and has a bad limp.
During this Ponyboys mental state changed due to truama and he actually took Dallys advice seriously, he starts hanging out with old friends (and some new ones) but gets into some trouble-which overall brings them closer together.
