He whimpers and buries his head into the side of Nicholas’s throat, tears building in his eyes again. He presses closer to him, shifting until he can get his legs around Wolfwood’s waist, ankles locking behind his back.
(Or, Vash hates his wings. Wolfwood doesn’t.)

Summary
The most awkward thing about it all is the stupid Get Out smeared across the wall in bioluminescent garbage, along the far wall across from the entryway, prominent in its placement. Handprints are peppered beneath it, dragged down as if through blood. If it wasn’t so overstated, so fucking cliche, maybe it’d make his stomach turn—or maybe it wouldn’t. It’s hard to tell these days, the things that hit his hindbrain versus the things that don’t.
“This,” Nicholas says, gesturing at the wall, “is embarrassing for the both of us.”
The thing haunting the house doesn’t have a name that he knows, and Meryl hasn’t given one if she’s privy to the information. So it’s just the Haunt, and Nicholas, and the desert that’s hiding them both.
The Haunt drags a hand-shaped force through the faintly glowing text, spiteful in its delivery. Underneath it, something else begins to come alive, the letters bigger, the strokes broader, two fingers wide instead of one.
Get. Out. Underlined for emphasis. Circled to make a point. And beside it, a frowning face with angry eyebrows—a child’s threat.

Summary
This isn't happening, is the first thought that Jisung has. It just couldn't be.
He blinks. Gawks. He even pinches the loose skin inside his elbow—a little too hard, frankly, and he lets out a wince for it.
The scene in front of him refuses to change.
Being witness to the sight of his boyfriend straddling another man in the passenger seat of the car they technically share; their mouths on, and their hands all over each other, visible even through the semi-tinted windows was not a part of the plan.
Jisung momentarily feels deprived of air; his thoughts go blank and he has no idea what to do, or how he's supposed to act. He stands there, in the parking lot, and he just gawks.
“What the fuck,” a voice says from somewhere behind him.
That's right, he thinks. What the fuck?!
(the one in which minho and jisung, once high school friends, catch their boyfriends with each other, sending them off on an impromptu trip together, one that quickly becomes a journey of self-reflection and reconnection.)

“You should cut him some slack,” Chan chided him one day some couple months after Jisung joined the fray. “He’s a sweet guy.”
Minho scoffed. “He’s a human. Doesn’t matter how sweet he is, he’s just like the rest of them.”
“Hyunjin’s human, too,” Chan argued, gaze sympathetic as he watched his friend glare out the stained glass window of the rustic little café.
“Hyunjin is mated to a bloodsucker,” Minho rolled his eyes. “He won’t be human forever, and if he were to turn on us he’d go down with us for being with Seungmin.”
“It’s pointless arguing with him, Chan,” Seungmin added to the conversation as he sat down at the table, clearly having been using his enhanced hearing to eavesdrop. “He just views them as food and that’s all they’ll ever be to him.”
Minho growled, glaring at the vampire. “I don’t just see them as food,” he spat back. “They’re dangerous, and the fact that you all refuse to recognize that just proves how young you all are. I’ve seen them at their worst.”
Or;; Minho hates humans, but then comes Jisung, who challenges everything he thought he believed, and eventually comes to mean more to him than his own life.

Receiving the coat of a selkie is one of the most beautiful privileges one can obtain. Not only does it symbolise deep trust and love, it also connects the souls of the bearer and the receiver in the most precious of bonds. It’s a marvel of nature, akin to the claiming bite of a werewolf or the mind melt of a fae.
Too bad nobody taught Jisung anything about that and most selkie coats look like common if very stylish leather jackets nowadays…

Jisung has to laugh. “I know most of Hyunjin’s side,” he says.
“Well obviously I’m a friend of Seungmin’s.”
Jisung pauses to stare, eyes narrowing with curiosity. “Yeah,” he plays along. “But you’re new.”
Minho chuckles. “You keep saying that. What does that mean?”
“I mean that you’re new. Here. Today. New. I’ve experienced this wedding over thirty times now and—” his breath hitches because he really just said that out loud, but there’s an immediate flicker in Minho’s eyes that has him exhaling with relief.
“Oh. Well.”
alternatively: In which Jisung gets stuck repeating the day when his best friend gets married, only to meet a brand new friendly face a month into the grueling experience.
