Summary
For as long as she could remember, Leila had had two dads. She had an album of photos of herself and her Abuelita, of whom she still had some very early memories, and other photos of her Abu and her mother, who had both died when she was very small and whom she didn’t remember at all. But ever since she was tiny, it had been her and her dads.
They hadn’t always been her dads, and neither of them was related to her biologically. She knew that it had been her and Uncle Harold at first, then John, who had been ill at the time, had come to stay and had never left. That didn’t really make sense, they’d been completely wrapped up in each other her entire life, but that was the story.
