Summary
Out of all the stories Chuck wrote, there is one he keeps tucked away. Chuck knows better than anyone that a story's ending doesn't have to be happy as long as the story was completed. But once and a while, after checking in on the other words, Chuck needs some happiness. It helps keep him relatively sane. So he created one universe where there are happy endings - its like a reward for him and it makes him feel a smidgen less bad.
But Chuck can't let them pick and choose, his characters need guidance. So he granted them Soulmate Marks. Initials and encrypted birth dates on humans wrists. He lets them meet, and watches the show unfold:
Micky would never escape the damn Avengers. First, they interrupt her hunt, then they offer her a job. The hunter community agreed: no Avengers involvement. But with Dean in Hell and Sam MIA, Micky can see no better way to control the supernatural narrative and allow hunters to remain in control of killing things that go bump in the night. She gets a home, free food, and even a paycheck! And the eye candy next to Captain America is a perk as well. The pull to Bucky is unnatural, given his name starts with 'B' and the initials on her wrist starts with 'J'.
