The Calamity approaches, and a messenger from the future prophesizes doom for Hyrule. With the fate of the Kingdom at stake, Princess Zelda and her Champions work against the odds to change their future. But they will soon learn that fate is not so easily changed.
A fic where I attempt to rework Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity into a proper prequel to Breath of the Wild.

Summary
Link and Zelda have finally defeated Calamity Ganon together after over a hundred years. It seems that Hyrule has moved on without her, giving her time to heal from the century-long trauma gifted to her so graciously by Ganon. Link remains by her side, stirring up old emotions as her feelings for her trusty swordsmen only flourish under her newfound freedom. As they begin to travel around Hyrule together, she is able to learn more and more about him, leading her to believe these feelings may not be unrequited. Zelda also vows to be a bit kinder to Link, but that seems to be an even more daunting task than getting Link to fall in love with her too. There's also the impending doom of her future looming alongside a last-ditch attempt from the Yiga to destroy Hyrule, amongst a few other things. post botw

It's been 835 years since the war ended and yet Byleth finds herself working as a museum tour guide in Derdriu recounting the tale as if it were something she read in a textbook. It was better than all the other jobs she had in the past at least. Much better than returning home and listening to the newest TikTok Flayn had found on repeat.
She's mostly thrilled to be able to see her husband every day. Sure he never answered her, and yeah he had the same expression on his face every day and- okay yeah it was a painting.
Her painting never talked back to her, luckily, yet despite that she finds herself speaking with a man who's expressions did change, who did reply to her, who followed her around the museum and had an uncanny resemblance to her late husband. It did not help that he was the next in line for the throne.
