Summary
Haran got to be more involved in the important parts of the invasion than he expected, because it turned out he was good at learning languages. But he didn't feel especially necessary or excited to stay in the capital doing politics things. He decides to become a farmer.
He doesn't expect the hardest part of learning to farm will be figuring out how to deal with his neighbor Tillon, but it sure is.

Simon Snow is a footie fanatic, founder of the MumU supporter section, and owner of the Sun and Goat pub. He's built a living out of watching Baz play, and it doesn't even matter that they haven't spoken since they were kids. Simon knows, no matter what, Baz Pitch is going to be the greatest player England has ever seen.
So why is Baz Pitch living in a middle terrace in the middle of nowhere, day drinking and doing (bad) yoga?

Summary
After his heroic sacrifice on behalf of the dwarves of Erebor, Bilbo will be well cared for. Naturally, he hates the idea. Crossing half the world, riding barrels, and fighting spiders was supposed to change things. No one should need to carry him anymore. Thorin understands such pride better than most, but he will stop at nothing to have the hobbit safe in his arms.

‘Married?’ he said quietly, trying to keep breathing.
‘Well, Bilbo dear, you do have a ring on your finger. We assumed you were just waiting for things to settle down before you brought her home. Or him, I suppose,’ his aunt replied.
Before Bilbo leaves Erebor for good, Thorin Oakenshield presents him with a ring - a token of his friendship and regard, nothing more.
Unfortunately, that's not how the rest of Middle-earth sees it and if Bilbo indulges, well; he doubts he'll be seeing Thorin again for a long time, if ever. Their parting was hardly auspicious.
But Bilbo never thought that Thorin would truly come and visit him in the Shire, and now he's got to keep the knowledge of their supposed marriage a secret from him. The other hobbits don't really make that very easy.
