when soap invites ghost back home to scotland for a week, ghost hadn't imagined he would wind up in a fake dating scheme to trick soap's family, of all people. it also doesn't help that he's head over heels in love with soap, of all people.

Summary
From the edges of the kitchen, in the corner, obscured by the darkness was a man or what looked like one. He stood out from the domestic setting in his well-worn tactical gear. He was tall, and imposing like a statue from a dilapidated monastery. Maybe a figure people once worshipped like an omen of death. His face was covered by a skull, the bone was sharp and looked real enough to be human. While Soap couldn’t see the face behind the mask he could feel the figure watching him. Despite his stature Soap wasn’t afraid of him, he felt unsettled.

After a close encounter with death Soap can now see Ghosts, or specifically one very traumatised brit, who needs help hunting down the man who killed him and keeping one too many secrets.

Summary
Soap loses a dewclaw on a mission and even though it grew back, he was sent on 2 months sick leave. Ghost is furious. Fuming. This could have been avoided if Soap had protective gear for his shifted form. As such, he requisitions brass for gear. At the same time, he is working on his Lycanthrope handler certificate so he can take Soap over from Price.
After all, it is a well-known, universal fact no one can take better care of Soap, than Ghost.
As the months go by, Ghost continues to unintentionally, unwittingly send mixed signals to a thoroughly confused Soap MacTavish.Bookmarked by Re4

Summary
The thing was big, much bigger than a normal dog, even soaked to the bone, but not quite big enough to be a wolf. It stood unmoving, unnervingly still. Brown, almost black eyes staring him down. If he looked hard enough, John thought he could see the red glow of his cigarette reflected there. For a moment, he was transported elsewhere, to another pair of strangely reflective dark eyes and the smell of slightly worse quality tobacco. To another brick building in another small town, to rough skin on gentle hands.
Or, Some fucking dog keeps showing up soap's side gig while he's on leave. It reminds him just a bit too much of someone he knows, and he proceeds to be super really normal about it.

Summary
Soap makes a choked off noise of pure, unadulterated panic, and then he’s floating, drifting far away as his ears ring from the sound of multiple bombs going off.
When he comes to, he only gets to be happy that he’s somehow still alive for a moment, because everything hits him all at once. Pain explodes from every single part of him he can feel, and he wants to scream. He doesn’t, instead trying to take a deep breath to ground himself, but there’s rubble on top of him that’s unyielding, restricting his every breath.
His breath catches in his throat; focus, MacTavish. Assess your situation before you start panicking.
or, Soap gets trapped under the rubble of a collapsed building, and makes the (stupid) executive decision to omit that piece of information to the rest of 141. No one is happy about this when they find out.

Summary
Soap has found everything he ever wanted within Task Force 141. People he could trust, a second family, and even somebody he could love (even if just one-sidedly). He was prepared to share his biggest secret with all of them, he trusted them not to judge him. However, before he could summon the courage to do so a mission goes horribly wrong and Task Force 141 has to deal with the fact that they possibly lost Soap forever.
Two years after the tragic mission the Task Force saves a dog-wolf hybrid during a raid on accident. Said canine gets attached to them instantly, especially to Ghost, who never recovered from the loss. The wolfdog goes back with them to base and while his behavior is strange at times, he may be the best thing that happened to the team in a long time.
And they have no idea how true that really is.
WolfShifter!Soap-AU with lots of angst, emotion and a happy ending, just how I like it.

My finger hovered over the three dots in the top corner, ready to block them, but I hesitated. In that moment, another message came through.

[unknown number]: less then I can off mself witou geying u in trobleBefore I even realized what I was doing, I pressed call on the mystery number, holding the phone to my ear. Whoever this stranger was, they were obviously further along in a similar boat to me. A kindred spirit.
He picked up on the fifth ring.
“...Fuk ye wan?” The man muttered, voice slurring heavily, his thick accent not making it any easier to understand him.
I swallowed. I hadn't actually thought about what happened when I got this far.
