With Valka at his side, Stoick and the village are forced to reckon with what they nearly lost. As Toothless refuses to leave his rider's side, and Gobber begins crafting a new future for him, the story follows the painful, intimate moments of waiting, grief, hope and the sacrifice Hiccup made for peace between dragons and Vikings.
