Sam's Dad is the head coach of Shadyside's most prominent football team. There were no rules except his one: No dating any of the players. This was never a problem for Sam- until the girl she tutored back in high school and had the biggest crush on got drafted to her Dad's team.
(Just to be clear, this is not American Football. It's soccer (or as I know it, football) I don't know how long I'll keep this one going but we'll see how it does.) April cuts her eyes in Sterling’s direction, a well-practiced sneer pulling at her lips.

Sterling keeps her eyes locked on the numbers lit up above the door, noting the way they are very slowly making their descent. Her teeth tug at her bottom lip, nibbling at the skin there. She can do this. She can get through one (1) elevator ride with the object of her... affection? Lust? No. April simply objects to the thought of her. Sterling made sure of that when she whacked John Stevens with her gun.

But there wasn’t a single mark on her skin, nothing but the buzzing feeling of electricity that had seemed to crackle in the room with her, settling into her bones when she remembered how to release the breath she’d been holding.
In the years since that moment, since learning what she could do if she said the right words, felt the right things, asked in all the right ways, Deena has stopped being nervous. She’s stopped feeling ashamed or afraid of what someone might do if they knew this thing about her.
But she’s certainly feeling nervous now.

Mira huffed, leaning back slightly, chest rising and falling fast as she stared at Zoey. Her pupils were blown wide, cheeks flushed, lips a little swollen.
Zoey’s thumb brushed lazily over Mira’s bottom lip, catching the faint dampness there. She leaned in until her breath was warm against Mira’s ear, her voice low and teasing. “Am I a good kisser, Mir?”
Mira’s breath hitched, and for once, she didn’t have the confidence she usually wore like armor. She nodded, still a little dazed. “…Amazing,” she breathed out.
Zoey grinned, pulling back just enough to look at her properly, cupping her chin and tilting it up. “Better than hers?”
For a second Mira’s brain blanked on who she meant—then she remembered, and her face heated immediately. She nodded quickly. “So much better.”
Zoey hummed softly, the sound low and satisfied, brushing her thumb over Mira’s jaw. “Good,” she whispered, before kissing her again.
