A planet far away from the war, whose inhabitants seem to be dead set on forcing the two of them to learn how to (ugh) live normal, healthy lives, where they talk about their feeeeelings and make friends with weird, organic little slime blobs. Ugh.
Whirl would rather die, thanks.
Or, in which Tailgate is a Slime Rancher, and gets a couple of emotionally stunted, war-hardened idiots dropped on his lawn.

Would reread in its entirety if I'm to go back bc holy shit each chapter is so fantastic but here's some top favs:
chp 9 (whirl means so much to me you don't understand.. also hashtag turning point of the fic), the part in 6 w simpatico + chickens everywhere lol, 2 and 8 with whirl + whirl jr and cyclonus + puddle slime (including every other moment with their respective slimes incl dervish in 14), 11 with the chickens again lmfao + quiet whirl ranch time + THE CHRONOMETER AUGH, AND OBVIOUSLY 12 +13 RIGHT AFTER😭🥀.... And the last third of 14 ohhh great heavens the cywhirl is off the charts. 15 tg's chapter...you silly silly bot they'd never leave u... also will never not love roddy. 4ever

Summary
Jazz is a small-time criminal broker. Against his better judgment, he agrees to fence a stolen tactical computer, but instead of a fancy mod, that ‘computer’ turns out to be a beautiful, amnesiac Praxian.
Jazz may be a criminal, but he’s got limits, and mecha trafficking is one of them. He frees the captive Praxian and embarks on a quest to help the mech regain his memory.
It won’t be easy. The mech’s kidnappers aren’t happy their prize was stolen, and looming overhead is the spectre of whoever commissioned that tactical computer, and their unknown intentions for its bearer.

He was only more confused when he read the words 'Optimus leaned forward, servos on Megatron's pauldrons and tilting his helm up, and kissed him.'
Bumblebee reset his optics and read that again. Then a third time. He didn't think he was processing those words correctly.
