Synopsis:
When Hermione Granger is accidentally cut by an old Malfoy Family Heirloom, a matrimonial blade, an ancient magic seems to think she is betrothed to the last Malfoy heir, and begins to pull her into Draco’s bed every night, at midnight.
A non-epilogue compliant Dramione fan fiction.

Summary
Harry Potter, of all people, knows that life isn’t always fair. And no one gets to be happy all of the time. But surely there’s something more—something better—than a rubbish Ministry job, and a lonely old house, and that feeling that everyone out there is doing a better job of living than Harry is.
And it really doesn’t seem fair that Draco Malfoy is back in Harry’s life, all of a sudden, and even though he’s wandless, and living with Muggles, and making his mother cry with his lifestyle choices, he’s happy. So what's he doing right, that Harry isn’t?
Because things don’t really change, do they? And if Harry can’t be happy, he’ll settle for a good night’s sleep, some posh antiques, and the opportunity to find out what Malfoy has been up to for all these years.
And that’s what starts it all.

Summary
Though its print was faded by rain and sun, Draco recognized the DMLE logo and, after carefully removing it from the board, he had filled out the application with a sense of vicious accomplishment.
He sent it off with his owl and figured that would be that. Even though he met the qualifications for the program, even though he was—as far as the law was concerned—a guilt-free man, Draco did his absolute best to let the application disappear from his mind as easily as it had disappeared from view. Expectations were what got him into his little post-war problem in the first place, and while he could be faulted for many things, he did learn from his mistakes.
The acceptance letter had been a bit of a shock.

Summary
The smell that roils out of the cauldron does little to ease his tension, though. It's green grass and sharp metal, apple-sweet and rich with sweat and loam. It rolls through him like a thundercloud, tempestuous and full of electric sparks that leave him aching.
He knows what it is, knows this scent as well as his own name, but Draco refuses to acknowledge it, even to himself.
Somehow, he's convinced himself that if he were to say it out loud, it would make it real. When it's just a scent, just a hint of reality caught and held by the air, he can pretend it isn't what it is.
Pretending is the only way he gets through his days anymore.
