'If you're reading this, my name is Zephyr and I'm stuck on a planet with magic and necromancers and cat-people. I lost my friend Celena at FanExpo FantasyCon, and I don't know what I'm doing here, but there's a thing called an 'Astrolabe' stuck in my chest and I should have called my parents a few days ago and I'm starting to lose my shit about it all. My phone is dead, but I'm near a place called Porrima. PLEASE SEND HELP!'
I capped the bottle and flung it overhand into the ocean as far as I could, watching the sunlight twinkle off the green glass as it spiraled over the waves.
Sage bumped up next to me, and we watched it plunk into the water together. "What was that about?"
I crossed my arms and shivered. "Don't worry about it."

It's rare for the Yiga Clan to get such a talented new recruit, especially one that manages to get the Thunder Helm after everyone else, including seasoned masters, failed.
Kakko, who has been part of the Yiga Clan for three years and has experienced the might of this mysterious stranger firsthand (as in he got hit by him a bunch), will discover at the cost of his sanity exactly why their new recruit is so skilled, and also how persistent he can be.
Basically: a dumb story I came up with when infiltrating the Yiga Clan.

Yes, Link’s appearance was well-known by even the lowliest of Yiga soldiers, designed to be identified and attacked on the spot should they ever encounter the scoundrel.
What hadn’t come up in Yiga training was the golden shimmer of Link’s hair - like captured sunlight - or the way it framed sharp cheekbones and a strong jaw. And wow, those eyes were really blue; they practically put sapphires to shame.
The hero was regarding him quizzically, eyebrow raised and lips pursed. Jozah swallowed thickly.

Note about the depiction of violence: I don't plan to be too graphic with it but being a post apocalypse there will be some violence and the occasional body. I plan to put a warning in the notes of the individual chapters when relevant
