Summary
Mydeimos’s smile is sharp as he shrugs. “What’s your name again?”
“Phainon of—” Phainon cuts himself off, looking away. It doesn’t matter where he’s from. Not anymore. “Phainon.”
“Phainon of Nowhere,” Mydeimos says, and those words disembowel Phainon, cutting into his belly and slicing clean across it. “Come to bed with me. We have a show to put on.”
In the midst of an ongoing war between Okhema and Castrum Kremnos, Mydei's mother gifts him Phainon, an Okheman bed slave he neither wants nor needs. But there is more at stake for both Mydei and Phainon: between Gorgo's ploys, Eurypon's plans, and the advancing black tide, they are pulled between a growing desire for each other and the very fate of their world.

Deliverer: I think some introspection would do you well, Prince.
xPrince: I appreciate the concern, Deliverer, but I don't think pointing out the truth warrants such a thing.
Deliverer: I believe it does. You’re looking awfully pot shaped right now.
xPrince: ?
Deliverer: The idiom the pot calling the kettle black?
xPrince: Sorry the brain cells I have left from speaking with you were struggling to form a connection.
Deliverer: Accidental self burn?
xPrince: Focus on your leveling noob.
Deliverer: So you're resorting to name calling because you can't think of a good retort. Cute.

Summary
“Intra-Cognition is null. Responds only to destructive stimuli.”
The sentence barely registers in Mydei’s mind as he stares at the shadow of the man who was once Phainon, who sits completely still in a chair, dull eyes staring sightlessly ahead.
“Damage to mind function detected… Possibly irreversible…”
The Antikytheran-like man continues reading through the digitized logs impartially, as if merely reciting a speech. But every single word he says drives another stake into Mydei’s heart.
Mydeimos the Undying scarcely bowed his head, rarely lowered himself onto his knees, and never, ever begged. And yet he finds himself doing all three things now, before the broken shell of his beloved.
---
Irontomb’s birth is prevented, and Amphoreus is saved. But it’s at great cost to Phainon, whose psyche finally crumbled under the devastating damage to his mind, body, and heart.
But Mydei and the other Chrysos Heirs will not accept this outcome. For what is a dawn without the sun?

"So, why'd you take me here?"
"I don't know, Mydei. How have you have doing all these years? We haven't seen each other since—"
"You left for the Grove. Without ever mentioning it."
"And you drove off without saying goodbye. Didn't even bother to write to me like you promised."
Fifteen years is a long time to be haunted by an old friend. For Mydei, that's half of his life being consumed by memories of what once was and what could have been.

Summary
“I don’t really remember…” how they even got here, for one. Nevermind how they ended up together in bed—“Oh. Wait—my ass isn’t even hurting…” he mutters. Which, unfortunately, leads to another question he’s almost afraid to ask. Almost. "Uhm… is your ass… hurting?"
Mydei lifts his head enough to stare incredulously at Phainon behind the curtain of his ruffled hair. "No.”
When Phainon thinks of Mydei, the first thing that usually comes to mind is: Wow, he’s so hot.
But that thought is always—always—followed by a flash of irritation, especially when the memory of the preparations for the campus-wide debate competition is still so fresh in his mind. Phainon still hadn’t quite recovered from the weeks of battle it took to get the event going.
So really—never in a million years did Phainon think he’d wake up in bed with Mydei.

Following the poisoning of many warriors within Okhema, the Chrysos Heirs find themselves confined to Okhema at Aglaea's command. This would be more than fine if only Phainon hadn't started acting... weird.

“Did you just sing a fucking a song so I would remember the quadratic equation?” Mydei deadpanned.
Phainon wilted. "Why? You didn't like it?"

[Re-upload]
“They welcome me like I haven’t spent the past week piercing holes through their beloved savior,” Mydei comments once he and Phainon manage to find some peace at the corner of a stairway.
“Careful- you’re still a little purple here,” Phainon replies with a tap to his own shoulder.
Mydei smirks and hopes, childishly, that the princess will at the very least allow him to borrow her knight. It’d be a shame to never spar again.
Or: The war is over, and Mydei is sent off to marry the Okheman princess... Or so he thinks.

Summary
In a world divided by mountain and sea, a prince and a diplomat meet.
Mydeimos of Castrum Kremnos was born to endure — carved from duty, bound by silence. Phainon of Okhema was born to burn — bright, reckless, untamed. When politics force them into uneasy alliance, their clash of ideals becomes something neither expected: a connection that defies empire, duty, and war itself.
Across borders and messages, between loyalty and longing, two men try to bridge the distance between what they are and what they want. But some walls are built higher than mountains — and not even light can always reach through stone.
(Inspired by Red, White and Royal Blue, but is not a retelling of the same story.)
