Dick instinctively wraps his arms around himself, feeling goose bumps prick at his skin, to which he receives a questioning look.
"Bit of a chilly reception," Dick says, a bad pun the only way he can think to broach the subject.
Slade rolls his eye. "I thought Batman would've taught you to endure the cold."
Dick decides to ignore that comment and instead asks, "Are you… Not cold?" Maybe it's a stupid question, because obviously Slade isn't, but he feels like he has to ask.
“I'm fine. The enhancements raised my body temperature; it keeps me warm.”

Instead of heading to his room he had gone into Jason’s. Had buried himself in the old Robin’s sheets and screamed until his throat was raw. But he had only ever gotten in their beds, never touched anything else. Not Jason’s extensive collection of books or Dick’s stray gymnastic equipment. Yet their blankets around him gave him some sort of comfort. As if the previous Robin’s were engulfing him in their capes. So that’s where he went that night. Curled in their sheets and if he pretended long enough they would be curled around him too.
