Suddenly, his instincts kicked in, catching Jack off guard, as he lunged for him to grab the gun. He wretched it from Jack’s hand, until Jack grabbed him around the waist, pinning them chest to chest. The gun was trapped between them, but pointed more so at Jack, than at himself. Jack’s grip tightened on his hip, as he stared at Brock with wild eyes, his breathing coming out in ragged pants.
“Do it.”
“No!” Brock protested.

Regardless, something is up, and Marc is annoyed, and it’s gotten to a point where Steven is getting equally salty and annoyed, and every time Marc snaps at him, Steven dishes it back twice as hard. Summary
Brock didn't expect anyone to find him hiding out in the thick of Canada. The notion is especially strong when it's the last person he ever expects the moment Jack makes an appearance.
He hasn't seen his old friend and teammate since they both made an escape during the Battle at the Triskelion and he never thought he ever would again. Now though, he's standing at his cabin door covered in a layer of snow and carrying a large pack on his back while holding a look across his face like this is exactly where he belongs.
Or maybe it's just how Brock sees things. He's low on supplies and maybe he's started hallucinating. He still hasn't gotten over Jack, even if Jack didn't know how he felt in the first place. Maybe the person you care about the most is the one that shows up right before you die.

Jack shoves him under the shower, lukewarm water drips down his head, his face, gets into his eyes, stinging. He wipes them, but his hands are equally wet and it doesn’t do him any good.
Jack’s naked in Brock’s face, hands rubbing soap into his waxy skin. “Do I have to micromanage everything?”
Brock turns his head away, stares at the tiled wall through the haze in his eyes. “I don’t think I can do this anymore.”
