Nancy doesn’t know how long they stand there, making out in the kitchen like a couple of horny teenagers (which, she supposes, they technically are—she’s not twenty until next year and Robin’s only just turned nineteen). It’s long enough for their kisses to turn desperate, for Robin’s lips to move from her mouth to her neck, nipping and biting just light enough to avoid leaving a mark, for her hands to move upwards under Nancy’s shirt, carefully tracing the bottom of her bra. Long enough for Nancy to weave her fingers into Robin’s hair, pulling her closer, for her free hand to travel to the waistband of Robin’s jeans, scratching gently over the skin just above it.
Long enough that Nancy’s senses are overwhelmed by Robin enough for them to miss the footsteps coming up the stairs.

Mike freezes in the doorway and feels the air catch in his lungs. Whether that’s on purpose or not, he’s unaware. Maybe blocking his airway is his body's way of doing him a favor, making him invisible to this conversation that he was very much not invited to. He takes a stumbling step back as quietly as he possibly can, which is difficult in his growing state of panic. He needs to make his escape immediately before being spotted, but all too soon, it’s too late. Joyce redirects her gaze to the doorway at the sound of his shuffling footsteps, and the shock in her expression inevitably prompts his best friend to turn around.

Alternatively, a rewrite starting at the coming out scene and attempting to implement my favorite fan theories and fix the hot mess the Duffer Brothers created.

Or, while crashing into the Upside Down once again, Mike can't seem to focus on the end of the world, but only his confusing feelings for Will. Robin gets him on the right track.

Wade pressed back against Logan’s teasing movements, eyes fluttering. God he was such a slut for Logan calling him a slut. Especially when Logan knew good and goddamn well the only person Wade had touched in fucking months was him.
A low growl rumbled through the air and Wade refocused his eyes enough to see Wolverine swaying forward a bit, arms still crossed nonchalantly but body tense, a flash of teeth peeking through his scowl. Oh, the big, bad Wolverine wasn’t so unaffected after all.

Or, the Logan from Wade's timeline isn't actually dead, shows up to confront worst Wolverine Logan, and finds out he's with Deadpool. Wade gets absolutely destroyed by both of them.
