Summary
Batman is suffering. First, the death of Jason. Then, Superman stops him from killing the Joker, then saving Dick from his own wrath and anger. After, Tim becomes Robin to stop Bruce from brutalized goons, robbers, etc. Then he gets attacked by a person that calls himself the Red Hood and he and Tim have been at odds to the point Tim quits being Robin.
That's when Stephanie showed up to take the mantle only to get fired after 3 months for not listening to Bruce and he refused to let another child die like Jason. Only for Steph to get one of Bruce's plans to unite the underworld and have it under control; for it to fall apart because of one factor that cost her her life at Black Mask's hands.
(One night, Batman is suffering and slowly falls to insanity; he faces Red Hood after confronting one of Scarecrow's new test toxins. A Bat will fall and maybe this time will be broken without anyone being able to put him back together.)
