Summary
Thomas has lived on an old farm for the past four years of his life after his parents kicked him out at age eighteen.
His best friend Joan works at the local centaur shelter, which has recently taken custody of four rescues that desperately need a home, A.S.A.P. They had supposedly been taken from an abusive owner who was overworking them and underfeeding them. Thomas had never worked with centaurs in his life. He worked a job grooming horses for a year or two after he moved out, but he's never dealt with centaurs before, so he had no idea why he was so empathetic towards these four rescues.
On a whim one night, he called the shelter and offered his unused centaur barn as their new home. He learned very quickly that they weren't simply abused at their previous home... they were tortured. They were treated like machines at best.
Now with Joan by his side, Thomas must teach his new family what it's like to be clean, and loved, what food is, and what it means to be more than just a tool. What it means to be a person. To be free. And it is going to be a very long, painstaking journey to get these boys to a point where they're able to love themselves, for who they are, and not for what they can be used for.

This fic started as a project to help me work through my trauma, but after I got a little tipsy and decided to post it on TikTok a lot of people wanted to read this fic. I hope this finds someone who will enjoy reading as much as I will enjoy writing, but due to how close to home the abuse aspect is, it might be a while between chapters. But I promise I won't abandon it, and will still post as regularly as I can. This fic is too important for me to just abandon 🤗 Y'all just might have to bear with me.

“Jeez, you really are sick.” Will muttered and Mike choked out a laugh.
“‘S just my luck.” He murmured, ignoring the way his head spun when he lifted it from the toilet seat.
Even under the harsh white light of the bathroom, Will still looked good, his honey brown eyes furrowed in concern and lips slightly parted. He was beautiful, and Mike wanted to bite him.
He recoiled a bit at the thought but now that he had thought it, it wouldn't go away. He could imagine it, digging his teeth into Will’s wrist, blood beading from the teeth marks faster than he could lick it up. The rushing in his ears got louder, twin heartbeats thudding in his ears and Mike turned to heave into the toilet again, not even bothering to stop the sobs that were ripping through him.

Visi swings by, wipes the corner of his mouth, then disappears. Hot hands find his head a second- seconds? minutes? later. The flash of orange and black coming closer has him swaying dangerously to catch whatever Flambae starts to mutter against his ear. Something about shitty music?
Coop saunters past with a glint of metal, prying the empty tumbler from his hand. Punch Up appears with a full one to replace it. It makes his face flush when he takes a swig.
“Yo! Anyone seen Golem?” Prism pushes through. She’s got Waterboy by the wrist; She might be about to use him to purposely slip people and get them out of her way. Phenomaman is floating after them.
Visi comes back again, this time with Blazer holding on for dear life. They’re hugging like it’s the end of the world instead of just being drunk in a shitty bar. Blazer smiles, dimples showing. His vision swims.
The whiskey burns. So does the ache in his chest.

Too busy being Mechaman to ever be Robert, the omega. On the strongest suppressants his dwindling inheritance can buy, and then none when that eventually runs out too. Robert struggles to navigate life through the lens of a "normie". Someone who can't fall back on being a superhero in order to avoid his biology. He never expected to live this long to suffer the consequences of the abuse he put his body through constantly. Now, he's dealing with ex-super villains and trying to help them in their rehabilitation while suffering through a hormonal hurricane.
Luckily, or unluckily, depending on how you view it, his team is comprised of mostly single alphas who are all too happy to ogle their new dispatcher, who screams emotional baggage. Now just to see who can crack the sarcastic ass dispatcher first, and maybe do their jobs along the way.

With the red ring dispersed and Shroud gone, He really should've seen this coming. The whole situation is amateurish-Mechaman dragged right off the sidewalk in broad daylight? It's only a matter of time before he can escape or get rescued.So Robert just sits back, keeps calm, and decides he may as well gather intel while he plays as the most unimpressed hostage.
He knows the others will never let him live this down.
What he doesn't know is that the villain holding him hostage has pheromone-based powers...and Robert is about to find out how dangerous that can be and the effects of an imprint placed on him.
