William Herondale is in love with his parabatai's fiance. He can survive the days that he can avoid seeing them together but after a malfunctioning portal lands the three of them hundreds of miles from home, he cannot disappear into the streets of London for hours at a time. Hundreds of miles from London is hundreds of miles from help and hundreds of miles from the yin fen that Jem needs to survive.
