Todd Anderson was a coward.
Neil Perry was a lover.
Those two things are so far yet so close to one another it's almost worrying. Fact stands Love is scary, emotions are, they dictate on how to live life, leaving you without any control over what you once tought were your own actions.
So instead of actually dealing with the normal human emotions, Todd beat himself down for not beeing able to control the uncontrollable.
Todd Anderson was a coward.
Neil on the other hand embraced all of his emotions fairly trough a glass lense, letting them filter just enough for them to be un-understendable if not to the trained eye. It was who he was, what made him Neil.
However when it comes to fear Neil closes the window that lets the lense shine his fears.
Neil Perry was a lover.

Light started to filter trough the windows unannounced, slowly making it's way into Todd's already open eyes, visible eyebags and the weight of another restless night crushing onto him.
It was nothing new, he always had trubles sleeping since he was 4 years old when his father decided he was old enough to deal with his nightmares alone

Avery was tired.
Finals were approaching, he was behind on three assignments, and Hastur had cried from midnight until about four in the morning, giving him only a few hours of sleep. He would've loved to crash in his car for a quick nap between classes and totally would have done so had he not had the baby today, but Derek had to go to one of his many doctor's appointments. There was always the daycare run by the child development students, which was very convenient so long as you didn't have classes after four, but it was 4:22 and Careers in Botany 201 started soon.Series
