Summary
The mission continued without Commander Erwin Smith, and yet, here he is, taken from the death he had already accepted. He now exists within Seedorf, a provincial village with no walls, isolated by the inland sea. The war is over, and the village council mistakes comfort for order. An outlier in an equation already solved, Erwin seeks meaning in a life he did not choose to keep, as well as the answers to the questions his death left behind.
The woman who altered his ending keeps to the edges of the life she thought was a gift. Neither can undo what was done. The distance he holds between them grows harder to keep with every question she leaves unanswered — the tether will not sever. What would move a man to cross that distance toward the one who stole his ending? Erwin does not yet know, but is fairly certain she does.

After Eren's death, she's finally been able to think through the ways he manipulated and controlled her and allows her feelings for Annie to blossom. Annie is still going on diplomatic missions for Eldia, but itches to put her past as an MP and Marleyan warrior to rest and live a quiet life. She can't stop thinking of the times Mikasa embraced her and made all of her worries melt away. The two women look to find solace in each other after years of living through hell.

It takes everything in him to say no, no. He’s overstimulated, crying already, overspilling. L is thrusting into him so deep he feels his very core will come apart at the seams, shatter, break; it’s hard to keep his wits about him. Light Yagami, top of the class: pathetic and reduced to a puddle under L’s expert hands. Light’s Kira himself but he’s nothing here, beneath L or Ryuzaki or Ryuga or whatever the hell his real name is.
Light never thought he’d like sex. So messy, the whole idea. All the fluids. He didn’t like that, preferred to be abnormally clean, free of human smells and human intricacies. He told Ryuk he loved being Kira so he could punish miscreants and through the Death Note create a better world, but the truth was: he wanted to transcend humanity. Become a God.

Light won't confess to being Kira, so L tries something new: having sex with him.
