They could feel it for a while now at night, the strange waves of warmth that signal something had answered their silent prayers in their sleep. The warmth that undid pain or turned a traumatic memory or nightmare into a happy memory or nearly the perfect dream. It was like the universe finally listened to the splinterson clans prayers for peace from there traumatic life and answered without violence.
Except… it wasn't the universe who answered. Oh it listened, but so did the real culprit behind the family's peace.

And destroying themselves in anger filled punching sessions with backyard tree.
Well what's a turtle supposed to do but help his blockhead brothers out… even it means having the most confusing week out there for the whole family with his unknown knowledge and freaky resources… and maybe a small dash of supernatural mischief that wasn't part of the plan.

AN UPDATED VERSION OF MY 2023 FANFIC
This angst/hurt/comfort story takes place five months after Splinter's death, following the events of Season 4 of TMNT (2012).
Mikey runs away to April's farmhouse after being coldly berated by his brothers during a messed-up patrol. When his brothers go to find him, Mikey is struck by a giant, mutated snake while trying to protect some mutated gophers.
This incident leads to another argument, during which Mikey finally lashes out at his brothers, venting years of pent-up anger and sadness. However, he soon becomes gravely ill due to the snake's potent venom, much to his brothers’ horror.
In a race against time, the brothers seek help from the mutated gophers, desperately trying to find a cure for the poison within five hours, or else Mikey will die.
Through this challenging ordeal, the brothers come to understand the true value and power Mikey holds within the family, realizing just how close they came to breaking apart. They vow to do anything to make things right.
Can they save their baby brother from an agonising death before it's too late? Will they be able to rekindle their brotherhood, or is this the end of the Hamato Clan?

It is then, as his eyes travel to follow Michelangelo, that Leo spots the way the water is dripping thicker now, seeping through the concrete of the ceiling. There are signs he has carelessly neglected – the cracking on the stone, the groaning of pipes around them. His cheerful mood snaps.
Something must reflect this in his expression; Mikey pauses, a few feet ahead of him, face twisting to concern.
“Leo –“ he begins, but is interrupted when everything shudders. Rubble drizzles, then throws itself upon them as the roof collapses under the strain of the water pipes.
For a moment, Leonardo’s eyes meet his youngest brother’s and see the terror flash inside them. He barely has time to take another breath before the world caves in, and everything goes black.~
While the brothers are out exploring a new sewer system, the whole thing collapses. With no way to get out and separated from each other, they all face their own struggles, injuries and fears as they fight to survive and find each other.
TLDR: a sewer caves in. Leonardo and his brothers are trapped because I like angst.
