“Y’know, some wise folk might say home’s where the heart is,” Hizashi remarks cheerfully, pen tucked behind his ear keen on pinching at a loose strand of hair, to his annoyance. A faint plea from his scalp to free it echoes in his head like fireworks. Youch. “And who would I be if I didn’t say radio has mine? Eh? Eh?”
"We go live in a few days. You have everything pre-recorded, as usual, so there isn't even anything for you to do."
"I like to keep busy." Which is true. He does.
“Don’t you have a girlfriend or something?”
He can see why Aizawa placed a ‘no-personal-talk’ rule in the workplace. People butting into his personal life is a one-way ticket to snoozeland. The typical heteronormative standards being pushed on him is all so boring.
Hizashi takes the offender out and away from wrecking his hair, clicking it shut. The pen tip snaps closed. “No. Remind me, who files your pay stubs again?”
One-shot on Hizashi, his staff, and a brief stint with Shouta facing off against a migraine and Hizashi helping.

Summary
Shouta hates not being able to see. Not being able to use Erasure. Hates how earsplittingly loud the shackles around his wrists jingle. He hates not knowing where his capture weapon is, and, simultaneously, he hates knowing exactly how he landed himself in this situation. This sort of thing tended to happen every few years, to Hizashi's dismay, where vengeful villains would seize an opportunity while he was at his worst to get ahold of him.
Today was one such time. A single moment where an exhausted, slow blinking Shouta was off his game, already nursing an injury from the villain with a tiring mental quirk and trigger-happy with their karambits, and about to head home after he'd apprehended and sent them off with the police.
Shouta just wants an uneventful way to end his day patrolling. On the other hand, the universe finds it funny to throw fans his way.
