Lucifer tasted these things. The tartness of the grapes. The desire of her body. The aspiration of her soul in its wondrous humanity.
“They will be, Lilith,” he whispered. “I promise, they will be.”

Slowly, he reaches for her hand, testing the waters in the utter quiet of it all. Her eyes widen as their skin presses together, fingers intertwining. “I want to help you,” Lucifer says. “I… I don’t know how. But I want to.”
“You… help me,” she echoes back, her voice a bit hollow.
He nods, squeezing softly. “I think I can.”
Lilith looks at him once more. Her eyes are glazed over, and he can’t discern her emotions. But her voice sounds hopeful. Like she could climb higher, up into the branches. Maybe he could follow.
“I hope you’re right.”

Summary
“She’s defecting.”
The words had an intention for a simple task to be completed. Lucifer assists Michael in visiting Eden to confront the deliverer, for her refusal to copulate with the First Man. But Lilith proves quickly to be more than meets the eye, and Lucifer learns more about himself - and what it means to love - than he ever dreamed possible.
This series comprises two works. The author may increase the collection to a trilogy if the plot expands/allows for it.

Summary
Lucifer's day started like many others, breakfast with his young daughter, Charlie, and his wife, Lilith. Something he had done countless times with his family. Though this time, something feels off, and it's not anything in the pancakes. Voices are echoing in his mind, things that make no sense. Why did his daughter sound so angry with him? Why couldn't he shake the feeling that she didn't want him around anymore? She was right here in front of him, a beaming six-year-old whose father was her whole world.
Lilith seems to know something he doesn't, but he can't pinpoint what. Something is wrong and Lucifer isn't quite sure he's ready to face the root of his troubles. Though as time goes on, he may have no choice.

“I know it’s asking a lot of you,” she admits. “And you probably don’t want to deal with the Seraphim anymore after . . . everything that happened, back then. But I really, really think you’ll like Emily. She and the representative should be here tomorrow, and I—”
“Wait, wait.” Lucifer stops her, shaking his head and blinking like he’s just been woken up. Was he . . . was he not listening to her? “There’s going to be more than one?”
“I mean . . . yes?” Charlie gives him a look. “It says so on the missive, down at the bottom. They don’t want to send Emily on her own, so someone else is coming with her to stay. One of their higher-ups.”
“But—Sera—”
“Oh, no no no.” Charlie laughs, probably way too nervously. “Not Sera. I don’t think she’d, ah, do too well with our little crew. It’s a different seraph, I think. Exciting, right? The Archangel—”
Lucifer finishes. “Michael.”
In the beginning, the first murder was committed between brothers. Lucifer was . . . not surprised.
