The look Geto gave her was distant, almost fond – nostalgic, even, and it reminded her entirely too much of that day in Shinjuku, after he’d left the school and killed his parents. But then his face twisted up into a much more disgusted grimace, and the moment was gone. “I know you don’t have reason to believe me, but I’m not…him. I’m me again.”
He seemed so sincere, Shoko was almost inclined to believe him. “And?” Geto wasn’t a much better option, all things considered. He was just the evil she knew.
The flat look he threw her screamed Geto Suguru in every single way she knew, and she saw the concession before he gave it to her. “It’s not me that needs help,” he said, catching her off guard. And then: “It’s Satoru.”

Ijichi was trying his life today.
Hah. His life.
Wait.
“I’m alive,” he realised, unhappily.
“Yes?”
“I’m alive, and it’s 2017, and I didn’t get bisected on a livestream in front of everyone who’s ever known or even just heard of me yesterday.”
His perfect ending was ruined. Everything he’d built with Sukuna…the moments they’d shared…trying to kill each other…it was all gone. How could Sukuna never forget him if he didn’t even know him yet? He’d called him magnificent! Was all of that just...meaningless now?
“Bisected?” Ijichi yelped, focusing on the least important part of that sentence.

Dying doesn’t exactly go as expected. Still, Gojo Satoru is not one to let an opportunity go to waste. He’ll fix everything…or possibly fuck it up, depending on who’s asked, but Suguru’s opinion doesn’t count for shit; he’s just jealous.

“You lost, sorcerer,” Sukuna had greeted him upon waking. The waking and the sharp grin, four eyes gleaming down at him, had both been unexpected. “That means I get to decide what to do with you. You’re the most entertaining thing I’ve played with; I’m not quite done with you yet.”
Satoru met those four eyes with his six, a picture of the situation clearly etched out in front of him. Cursed energy reduced down to a trickle; limbs bound, restrained with seals he wouldn’t be able to break easily; clothes no longer on his body. The wasteland he’d reduced Shinjuku to was gone; the room they were in now was dark, barely lit, but he’d never needed light to see. Satoru relaxed against the pillows, taking it all in stride.
“Mm,” he’d hummed because there was nothing else to do about it for now. “Seems fair.” A breathy chuckle, and Sukuna’s grin widened, nothing short of pleased.
