It’s been almost a full minute. Maybe if Jeongin doesn’t take it he’ll give up- but that’s a foolish thought. Stupid, even. Minho’s stubborn- and once, that’d been a trait Jeongin liked most.
“Some discretion.” Jeongin repeats. Still staring at the envelope. He’s dying, he thinks. Is he dying right now? It feels like it. He can’t breathe, “So you’re serving me at the exhibition?”
Or;
Minho and Jeongin are getting a divorce. They're not going to tell that to Minho's family on Christmas though.

Hyunjin’s arms constrict, wrapping him more tightly bound. Maybe under different circumstances he would have agreed. Maybe, maybe, maybe. Hyunjin is sick of playing maybes.
“I don’t want to go home,” he says, blunt. He meets Jeongin’s gaze with the intention of holding it for the first time since they met.
Jeongin’s smile relaxes into something more serious. Hyunjin chooses to perceive it as sincerity. “Okay. So don’t.”
(OR: Hyunjin, sick of failing to live up to his parents expectations, finds a savior in Jeongin, a stranger who offers him a spot in his grunge band's tour van.)

Minho quirks a brow at the clumsy display, stuffs his hands in his pockets. The cute little mechanic is amusing, he’ll admit. Makes him want to say something completely out-of-left-field just to see his reaction; he imagines big round eyes, a disconcerted pout. Adorable.
Minho shrugs. “I fumbled one too many romantic prospects east of the Continental Divide, and I have too much of a pariah complex to handle it maturely.”

Or: Following another catastrophic end to a long list of failed relationships, Minho decides to pack up and start his life anew, but his plans are thwarted when his car breaks down on his drive across the Rocky Mountains. He’s then forced to take up temporary residence in the nearby lakeside town while he waits for his car to be repaired by the cute local mechanic.
