“I think you-” Anthony cut through his thoughts.
“Should see a doctor?” Coy finished, raising his eyebrows. Anthony’s expression fell. “This stuff has been happening to me my whole life. If something were wrong, my doctors would’ve figured it out by now, wouldn’t they?”
“Things fly under the radar, is all we’re saying.” Will told him, and it feels weirdly like an intervention. Coy’s friends all being on some sort of united front makes him realize that they must have talked about this, at some point, without him.
Maybe Hanbon had said something after he struggled to stand in line for a few minutes.
Maybe Anthony had, after they ran into each other in the middle of the night because Coy had headache-nausea and couldn't sleep.
It made Coy feel decidedly odd regardless.
“I’ve talked to my family. They say that everyone hurts after carrying a heavy backpack or doing theatre or running around with a camera all day.” Coy told them, “And if everyone else is just like, going, then I have to too.”

Anthony Potero loves football. He really does. He likes seeming like he has a ton of friends, too, even if it's not real. He's really only close with Hanbon, until an accident and a group project lead him to something he couldn't have expected.
Hannah Bondalo loves her friends, and she also loves meeting new people. She always wonders why people she isn't friends with seem scared to talk to her. Her best friend, Jazzy Anne, transfers schools, so she decides to branch out. A head injury and a broken arm, surprisingly, help her cause, and she comes across people who will change her forever.
