Summary
Jason glances up at Tim as they near Drake manor, and his eyebrows twitch at the brightening glow around the boy. His breath stutters, becomes uneven. Days, hours—how can he stop it? Why does it keep coming and going?
"Tim," he says, and the desperation in his voice is barely concealed. He hopes Tim doesn't hear it. They're halfway through the Drake manor driveway. "Uhm. I really enjoyed hanging out with you today. Thank you for coming."
Tim tilts his head and smiles. "Of course," he says, but the light around him is still shining bright.
"I—" Jason swallows. "Be safe, okay? We should hang out again tomorrow."
And—to Jason's delight and relief—the light dims again as Tim smiles, and fiddles with his hands. "Yeah, okay. We will. Thanks, Jason."

“Please don’t touch me there, at least,” Tim begs again, shuffling his legs and stomach, when Jason doesn’t move off his hips, doesn’t let go of his hands. “Please. I—I can give you my mouth or hands—please don’t—don’t—” And he’s sobbing so hard his words are coming out in fragments uttered between coughs and hiccups and disgustingly wet sounding sniffles. His head is raised as he stares straight at Jason.
Fuck. Jason’s about to move, about to run out of the Tower and never come back, when Tim seems to take his silence as disagreement, and says something that Jason thinks is going to haunt him for the rest of his life.

Although, not quite as preposterous as Tim, nor Conner, thinking that it might be a good idea to warn Impulse and Wonder Girl that they would be bringing him to the tower, or even just telling them Jason was not, in fact, trying to get Tim alone to murder him.
Seriously, that lasso that apparently had lightning embedded in it fucking hurt.
